The round where they build the answer board is too important to the outcome and should be controlled by a contestant, not a celebrity. Both in terms of points possible and quality of clues, this round really pretty much determines which team wins. Have one contestant run that for each team and then the winning team has the other contestant giving clues in the money round. Otherwise I like the 2 celeb setup better than the 4. Just that one thing doesn't give the contestants enough control over the outcome and they are the ones with the most to gain/lose. I know a lot of people want more celeb screen time for entertainment purposes but it's not right that the people who have their winnings on the line should have so little control over whether they get the chance for the money round. I find it just as entertaining either way really- I could enjoy it with no celebs.
Consistency needs to be established for prize quality from one episode to the next.
Also they need to be more consistent with the rules- the judging on what is or isn't allowed is very inconsistent, both on similar words and also facial gestures. Maybe have more specific rules, like I don't know if two words have the same root word or have 3 or more letters in the same position- but just whatever the rules they need to be more consistent.
Same thing for Meredith commenting during play, like saying "only 3 words left" or warning that the time is almost up... either have her do that stuff on everyone or nobody. It might help some or others might find that it is worse because it increases the pressure, but the fact she does it sometimes but not on others, or sometimes reminding some at the beginning of a round to pay attention to time or anything else that could be construed as her giving help, as the host, needs to be very consistent, so if she can't remember to do it every time then she needs to stop altogether.
Fairness, fairness, fairness!!!

Please give losers prizes at least as nice as the viewers receive. Reward them for their time & effort. It's costly to leave home & work to play the game.as contestants, They entertain an audience. Thank you.

Started watching this several months ago. Sad to see others comparing it to other game shows. It is fun to watch. Especially to see how into winning the guest stars are. The show flies by. Everyone involved, including me, is having such a good time. I sit and call out the perfect match for a word. They must hear me, because so often they agree. Give this shows a chance. Tune in and enjoy.

To add to my previous review, I just discovered that the trips they give DO NOT include transportation! Unbelievable...
We do love this game show, but it is disappointing and almost embarrassing to see the laughably cheap consolation prizes they award to the super fan and the losing contestants. A copy of their home game?? $250 worth of Avon skin care products? A gift certificate for Buttercloth??? Good lord, how cheap can they be? Contestants and the Super Fan deserve so much more.
We also watch $100,000 Pyramid and it is astonishing how much money the contestants can make. The $10,000 grand prize in 25 Words Or Less pales in comparison.
Oh, and what's up with the fake audience sounds?? Can they not afford a theater with a live audience?

WAY too much Meredith time. I record the show and then watch it. This 30 minute show can be viewed in less than 10 minutes, by fast forwarding thru the commercials and the camera time for Meredith. Show needs more game time. Listening to Meredith explain the ridiculous easy rules, re-reviewing all of the answers, and talking about the online guests is a total waste of time.

So unfair when the celebrities blow it. It's usually a new celebrity's first time and they just blow it. I think they should have to practice till they can do it in a timely manner. Ruins a lot of good players games, by overextending themselves by picking words they have no idea how to give clues to or being so unaware of the time they are wasting just stumbling around. It's really annoying when you watch them lose the game for the players by their ineptness. Need to be more rigorous screening the celebrities it's not about them it's about the contestants. They take chances and don't deliver the goods. Two days in a row this celeb makes contestants lose. Needs to be removed.

I love this show, BUT, the Superfan stuff takes up too much time. Another round could be played in the time it takes to introduce a superfan and tell what he/she will win, blah blah blah. Slows the pace of the show and it is boring. Do another round instead!

Do the producers make Meredith say the same 2 phrases every single show? They are "We're just getting warmed up" and "You're not going home empty handed.". Good grief! It's incredibly irritating.

This show is very entertaining, but the judging is inconsistent , which I find unfair. One player was able to use " billionaire" as a clue for "millionaire" on one show, but on another the contestant was dinged. Also one contestant used beemer as a clue for BMW and it got through, and she went on to win the big $. Meredith very often forgets to ask how they plan to use the 10 K, which I find interesting. She often is trying to compete being funny w/ the other celebrities, and gets caught up in the moment. I enjoy most of the celebrity contestants, but wish Meredith would let the players share more about themselves when it's their time to to introduce themselves, instead of focusing on the lucky "guests'

I really like this show and plan on buying the home edition. However, I don't like the new format. Four (4) celebrities make the show much more entertaining with their interactions. Meredith is a great host.

What is this Butterworth prize everyday or so? Isn't this just a clothing co. For men? What are the girls supposed to enjoy for their efforts? Also there is no info about the length of the vacation prize. Two days, or 5 .

I feel sorry for the contestants who get stuck with the "celebrities" who hardly know how to play the game So much of whether the contestants win or lose has to do with the "celebrities," not the contestants. Do they even tell these "celebrities" what the rules are? I put "celebrities" in quotation marks because most times, I'm lucky if I recognize one of them. I do like Meredith Viera, though. She's a calming presence.

Just wondering if "David and Jessa" will be back as they had to be back at work or as a part of the rules, did their reign end when they had to go back to work? Keep up the excellent word game. Even though my wife and I have seen a bunch of repeats, because of the format of the show we still see the answers coming as new. Tis quite the thing so we continue to enjoy.
As we wait for the new season to start we will enjoy everything that is available. I don't remember if my wife and I came in and started watching at the very beginning, however, I do know that we enjoyed from the our 1st watchings. From Canada to the rest of you. Onward!

I adore 25 Words or Less! Have been a Meredith Vieira fan since The View and this show gives her the off-the-cuff freedom that a more structured show like Millionaire didn't. The 'Celebrity Friends' are all terrific, especially Melissa Peterman, Greg Grunberg and Steven Weber. The Covid forced changes made for the 2nd Season have furthered its connection to Password and has actually made me enjoy the game more!
I'm also glad that the consolation Vacations don't involve those ridiculous Caravan bus tours anymore (thanks, Covid). I always felt bad during Season 1 when someone "won" a 9 day Bus tour of New England.. Nothing says 'Job Well Done' like sitting on a full coach bus with broken AC on a hot fall day while the stranger in front of you chows down on Clam Chowder and a Tuna Fish Sub from a gas station Subway while driving through Springfield, Massachusetts!

I really enjoy this show, and the current format is better than original, but the celebrities have too great a role in determining whether or not their team wins. Repeatedly during the show, contestants are reminded that the outcome of the game is really determined by the round in which their team celebrity constructs an answer board and gives the clues for it. Celebrities determine who wins or loses by the answer boards they create in that final competitive round. It sometimes seems like they aren't really playing to get their team to win. 2 teams of 3 contestants would allow contestants to win or lose based on THEIR choices in that round, instead of letting the celebrities run things. I can't help but think that some losing teams go home believing they would have won if they could have had the power to make the answer board and give the clues themselves. I would watch (even prefer) the show without the celebrities. However, if celebrities and their banter seem essential to the show, then at least let the contestants choose who is to make that answer board and lead that final round. One of the contestants OR the celebrity would play based on the contestants' choice. Then, win or lose, it was their choice.

Is this show produced in Vietnam? With prizes of a toaster and air fryer ..... OMG !! You got to be kidding ! They need to revamp this show and consider what they are offering as prizes. This is 2022.

The show was great until they changed it. Having the winning team's endless return is boring! Where is the challenge. Variety is the spice of live, cap the winning team and let's move on to a new pair of contestants.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Watch the show ever night. Nice to see with the sad news in the world for a change up. Meredith as always great host and they have good stars to help contestants. So glad when dimple and moving to music left. Like another listener stopped watching while they were on. It keeps asking for more re views, this is all I have to say.

Akbar and Joey McIntire have to be the worst celebrity contestants ever. Are they not taught how to play the game? They have been excruciating to watch and I can't wait until new celebrities come in. They use complete sentences to give clues and have no concept of the clues or time. Joey is worse than anyone who had ever played and he is from the United States. Please don't have them on again or many people won't watch including me. Good thing I tape the show so I can fast forward through their clue giving. On a positive note, Meredith does a fabulous job as host. Don't replace her ever. What a great personality!!

Guest celebrities are not evenly matched. For example, recently, Matt Eisenberg has been teamed up with Orlando Jones. You can predict that whoever is on Matt's team is going to win the game. He's just better at word games. I feel bad for the returning winners after they have won with Matt on their team and then the next day they move to someone who is not as good with word games and they lose. Whoever is in charge of selecting the guest celebrities should do a better job at leveling the playing field. It's so obvious what's going to happen. Also, someone needs to tell Meredith To stop touching her jacket as if she's going to unbutton or button it. It's so annoying.

Like the new format but one celebrity annoys the bleep out of me. Why do they put him with the returning winners? So the show can guarantee not to have to give away money? Less Rick Fox...More Greg and Melissa!

25 Words Or Less is a very entertaining game. I enjoy watching it. However, the show itself can be vastly improved:
1. Let contestants control their own destiny during the build the answer board round. Contestants should construct the answer board and give the clues. I hate it when celebrities screw up and cause their team to lose during this round, as it is quite unfair to the contestants. To me, this is the most critical flaw in conducting the game.
2. Eliminate the "super fan" - boring.
3. The scoring makes absolutely no sense. Why is one round 250 points? How about dividing the current scores by 250 and simplify the scoring? So, you get one point for each of the first two rounds. During the build your answer round, each word would be worth 1,2, or 4 points. Doesn't that make more sense?
4. If you must have celebrities, please have more like Greg Grunberg and Matt Iseman who are excellent clue givers. Please weed out the celebrities who have no idea how to give good clues.
