El cuento de las comadrejas

An actress remembers her glory days while she meets a mysterious fan couple that accidentely stops by on her house. The first half of the movie gives a very intriguing premise with solid performances, as a drama works perfectly, as a comedy fails with very forced and unnefective jokes. The problem of the movie is that once you start solving the puzzle, the story feels very stupid and ridiculous (specially the twist) to force a predictable ending. I give it a 5 because of its very strong acting that made the movie watchable.

This should have been on the big screen (blast you COVID!) but I loved this even on a computer screen. Who doesn't love a movie where the bad guys get their just deserts? I usually can't stand films about films but this was so beautifully written and acted. A lot of fun.

It reminds so many things. The old plays about murders, the value of past, the clash between worlds and the force of oldness. And it makes that in admirable manner. So, just a delightful film, for beautiful performances, for seductive dialogues, for easy predictability and , no doubts, for the end.

I liked it. I do not like Campanella politically speaking. But i liked the movie, I saw it with my mother (67) and we both enjoyed it. It is well written and directed and the actors are solid. Fun movie.

It doesn't have those depths it had with "El secreto de sus ojos" but it's still a remarkable, funny and very well directed film by Campanella. You leave the cinema with the idea of having seen a very satisfactory film.
