Could not see this through, the acting is terrible! The main character is mumbling and you cannot hear what his saying. The plot is shifting back and forth and it is impossible to keep up with the movie.

I thought this was gonna be a good crime movie seeing the ratings, but there must be some paid users giving these ratings.

It plays like your watching painting by numbers. The pace only has one gear. Its like watching someone's first movie effort.

Those high ratings are definitely fake. I could not even get pass first five minutes of the movie. Despite having some big names... other actors are not very good. Skip this one.

I have no idea what I just watched but the bad wig was the first sign this was not going to be understandable. Be it the overacting and the various tropes that are just appearing over the place, the movie is just not worth all these super high ratings which prompted me to watch it. Perhaps it's supposed to be sarcastic? Or.... I just say that this film is very confusing mess masquerading as a horror. The weirdest part it worn awards!! For what? Seriously (no jk) someone tell me what I'm missing.

To start off, I am astounded that they got the actors they did to make this movie. I am not sure if it was the script or the director and editors that messed this up. There are too many story lines and none of them connect to any of the others. It turned out to be a jumbled mess that makes no sense what so ever. Just the disgusting and disturbing nature of this movie is enough reason to skip it, but add in the jumbled up story there is NO reason to watch this.

I saw all the good reviews for this movie and thought I was on to a winner. How wrong I was.

This movie looked and felt like it was made for some school project or in someone's basement. It was terrible with awful amateur acting and a story that made no sense.

It was one of only a few movies I turned off as I could not bare to watch any more... Don't believe all the good reviews.

The people that are given this high ratings must be smoking something. Are there demon possessed.

If I were to repeatedly bang my head onto my computer keyboard, I would have produced a better script than this. The acting, dear god, the acting. It's almost as if they purposefully went looking for the worse for each part. Watching this made my brain bleed, would recommend this instead of the death penalty for sure.

Man, this film is a hidden gem. I wish I had seen it in a movie theater. The story is just awesome. Unsettling serial killer police thriller that for two hours gets under your skin (literally) until it gives you the final, unexpected blow at the end.

I don't know why this movie gets over 7 point and I'm 100% sure its overrated. The acting is so terrible and the story is not that bad also is not good either.

This film builds slowly with some long scenes at the beginning but they are gripping. The story and characters got me involved quickly.. the plot really takes off in the second half, it just gets better and better. Selma Blair, Graham Greene and the main lead Oscar Cardenas were obvious standout performers. I found this movie mysterious and unpredictable and was pretty satisfied with the ending.

This thriller evokes all sorts of feelings in you - fear, confusion, anger, sadness. Even though the movie runs almost two hrs, I felt it moved along quite smoothly because it was rich in its narrative, quite original characters and great performances from the entire cast. The villain's motivation was hard to empathize with because of the chilling nature of the crimes but it was well thought out by the writers.

Not worth to be watched, I wasted 2 hours of my life watching this very bad disturbing movie, deceived by false reviews. I'm wondering how people is giving it these high rates.....really it's very bad. It doesn't even deserve 1.

Disconnected story, artificial acting and a waste of time. The main actor feels dump and simple that one wishes he just dies. Lots of drama and superficial artificiality. If you like mind-numbing, gore focused US-mainstream movies, you might like this one.

What an utter waste of time!

Ike i said in the tittle, this is a perfect example of fake reviews. This movie is so bad, that the 3 stars i gave it is generous. The acting is soooo bad that reminds me of some amateurs videos the kids make at school plays. Directing and editing are terrible bad too. The almost 2 hours films seems like a torture to me.

Terrible acting, so bad that you want to believe it's actually intended to be that way but no, it goes from bad to worse.

The 2 stars is for the 5 min cameo from Salma Blair.

Seems strange... No effort from the actors... Like low budget movie with more expensive cast. Just no.

UPDATE: It looks like they also spend a lot of money to buy good reviews.

Please dont waste your time with this movie.

Everything bad, script, acting, sound and direction. You wonder how many fake accounts were created to give it such a score. Surely an algorithm can be used to give a more accurate score.

I loved this psychological thriller and definitely recommend watching it. People that gave it a low rating probably skipped half of the movie. Disturbing well made sequences, good plot and subplots kept me watching. One of the most unexpected twists awaits to those who give a chance to this film.

Just kidding lol. Nothing but fake reviews endorsing their own garbage. "FBI freeze! Take the sunglasses off!!!" Bahaha omg this is such a cheesy incomprehensible mess. Just wow. 'Worst movie with the highest imdb score' should be in a category on its own.

A Dark Foe is a really good thriller. Especially for fans of suspense thrillers and horror movies with a dose of surreal characters and mean villains. Well acted, well directed. The actors do a great job conveying all the emotions of a compelling story. Looking forward to watch more films like this one.

The story shows the despicable human nature that sometimes lies below the surface. Exceeded my expectations, truly. It was very different, and way better than most suspense movies that I have come across lately.

The user reviews and rating for this film sucked me in. Don't be fooled. This film is a convoluted, disjointed mess.
