A must see movie for young and old generation and their ideological differences. Slow movie but strong message and definitely heart touching story. Strong story telling and sound directed movie.
This is a Bengali film directed by Parambrata Chattopadhyay and starring Tanuja and child artist Shrijato Banerjee.
The film is a very touching rendition about old age, loneliness and the need for us youngsters to accept and understand our elders.
They have given us a lot and they have lived an entire lifetime. Age has taken a toll on their minds and health and habits and practices along with their unique life experiences would have made them stubborn.
But you can't change that. It's not easy for them as us youngsters to change. Moreover, we will be considered like them someday, when we are old and judged by the generation after us.
Most importantly, believe it or not, you need them more than they need you. To impart values and life lessons to your children. To give care and love to your children. The bonding between grandparents and grandchildren can only be beaten by that of a mother and her new born baby.
Their presence and blessings are what will give you fulfilling lives. You love and caring of them is what will give strengthen your Karma and take you to higher planes.
This is the message conveyed in the film. I've found Parambrata's film selections as an actor always excellent. And now I'm also appreciative of his themes chosen as a director.
The child actor's performance is excellent. Due credit to the director to be able to extract such a performance from a young child.
Way to go Parambrata! I rated this 9/10 in IMDB.

One of the most pure, simple movie I have watched till date.
Such a beautiful movie on the mother and son bonding and complexities of life.

The casting is perfect. Acting is strong. Realistic. Heart touching. Couldn't stop tears. Really good cinema. Loved it.
A lovely heart-warming film with top class performances and a balanced treatment of a emotional storyline that could easily have gone melodramatic.
