Excited to see a return of Mythbusters

Being a huge fan of the original series I have to say I was really happy when I saw a preview for this show. Adam returning and a new Mythbusters show? Heck yes! Sure it may be aimed more at children. Sure I would like to see a little more Adam now and again. But I enjoyed watching all the episodes so far. A lot of the myths are unique and interesting and I like their approach at tackling them. If you're a fan of the original series, I say don't expect it to be a clone of it. Don't come in with huge expectations. If you can do that then I feel you will get a lot of out of it.

Great idea for kids. Was looking forward to the program but it's just not the same.

Finally - the right continuation of Mythbusters

This was the direction the show should have continued from and not replacing the original guys. Using the next generation to continue these discoveries makes a lot more sense. And they found a great mix of kids.

Love - My husband and I watch it!

We loved Mythbusters and love this show, too. I like seeing these kids that are outgoing, successful, and brilliant. Adam is perfect with his enthusiasm - sheesh he's a kid himself. My students would love the show, and I know it would inspire them. We watch it because we like it - and our kids are grown.

Good and getting better

We're now 4 episodes in, so we've reached a point where I feel I can rate this show. The fourth episode, where they crush a car with dominoes and try to pull the bottom Jenga block out of a stack, is what proved to me this show is going to succeed.

Previous episodes tended to touch on the novelty of the kids doing things above their age level - like a 12 year old driving a car on a closed course. That's fine, but not really what the show is about. Now that we're up to episode 4 we're finally getting past some of that novelty and getting into the core of what makes Mythbusters a great show to watch.

To illustrate I'll talk about episode 4 a bit more. This episode really played to the strengths of the various kids and the process of Mythbusters: Scaled down experiments to get data, doing the math and figuring out how to proceed (the smart kid), scaling things up through builders (the girl who fabricates and the guy who welds), right up to the actual test.

A number of methods of going about the Jenga blocks were devised by the kids and tested. Simple stuff like pulling the block with a bicycle, to a more complex bungee arrangement, up to a robotic pneumatic rig. The great thing with this is presents ideas and methodology across a spectrum that makes it accessible to everyone (I don't have a pneumatic actuator, but I do have bungee cords and a bicycle, and even if kids do not actually attempt these things, they at least can visualize themselves doing it and think about the process or how THEY would go about it).

If this show continues to produce episodes at the level of Episode 4 then it's going to do very well, en par with the original Mythbusters.

Might be great for the young crowd under 13

Saw a kid explaining how a drill is connected to a pulley using a belt? Then see him hammering a rim where he attached duct tape?? Finally into a backstory of him building building a project "when he was little". Currently 15 and 12 when he built it???

That was it. Could not take anymore. Don't get me wrong; I'm sure this will be great for the 'tween' crowd. If your are over 18 then don't bother.

Sagage's is back

As far as I'm concerned the original Mythbusters should have been on the Discovery Science Channel all along -their deeper pockets would have enabled a much longer run -even if it meant replacing Jamie H. That said this new series has the potential to be just as entertaining as the old; and I hope it gets a second season to jell the cast. As far as some critics complaining about the "Myths" it was a freshman season-those are always rough. the first season of the original series was just a few episodes. In short it was fun to see Adam so comfortable with all the cast and yet be just as squirrel y and fun to watch as before. AND YES I'LL WATCH ANYTHING WITH ADAM IN IT BECAUSE I'M JUST LIKE HIM a cartoon loving tinkerer that wants to know the how and why science of the world.

Loving it!

I had no hopes for this junior version, disapointed as I was with 'the search for'. Boy, was I in for a surprise. Im 4 episodes in now, and Adam seems totally in place with the kids, releasing his inner child as well, the chemistry between him and thecrest is great. The 'myths' are more like experiments but still fit the concept and are ececuted really nice. Its fun and interesting for kids BUT also for adults like me. In fact, I like these small scale experiments better over the last original mythbusters seasons when things got way to big and most ended in exploding stuff. This junior version leans more on science and I love it for it :)

Found the show very enjoyable,

Hope they bring it back. The kids were great. The experiments were interesting.

It is not the same show, it is a show that highlights young talent, using science to prove and disprove myths using safe for young people methods.

Exactly how the show should have gone after the Original series ended

After Mythbusters got rid of the "Kari Byron" Show.... I mean the build team the last 2 years they were some of the best shows, sorry to see them end, then that new team, what a waste, now with Adam Savage back in his usual Mythbuster form with some pretty smart and nice kids that are not pampered or disrespectful to adults, the team has hit on all cylinders again. Yes the 1st couple of shows was more of an update to some of the original myths Adam and Jamie did. Really hope they keep the same type of format and bring it back for another season. Yes a couple of guest appearances by Jamie would have sent this into orbit, but as we all know from the last 3 years in interview after interview, Adam and Jamie are NEVER getting back together to do ANY series again, they really can't stand each other.

The TV show is suitable for viewers of different ages and levels of education, not only entertaining, but also motivating to think critically and creatively.

I believe that Mythbusters Jr. Is a good idea for the show because it shows how children can learn science and technology through interesting and fun experiments, how interesting and engaging science can be, this TV show inspires the younger generation to learn science.

The show demonstrates how the scientific method works, how to formulate hypotheses, make observations and draw conclusions. The show entertains, thanks to the humor and charisma of the presenters and participants, and educates, educates the audience about the various phenomena and principles that underlie our world. The show also inspires children's own creativity and ingenuity, as well as teaching them teamwork and problem solving.

The show has a good balance between humor and seriousness, as well as between complexity and accessibility. The experiments aren't too simple to be boring, but they're not too complicated to be incomprehensible. The show explains all the steps and results of the experiments with the help of graphics, animation and comments from the hosts.

We are delighted with this scientific series that explains various phenomena and phenomena in an accessible and engaging way. We liked all the episodes, but I especially remember the series about whether it is really impossible to make mayonnaise during a thunderstorm. We learned a lot of new and interesting things about electricity, emulsions and chemical reactions.

I recommend Mythbusters Jr. To anyone who loves science, technology, or just wants to watch something fun and educational.
