The filmmaker takes an intriguing idea and basically turns it into a fetishization of a sick man luring teenage women online, and turning them into blonde cheerleaders. Think of it as a cult, as they each are required to use the name Sadie and abide by a strict set of rules and customs.
There was a similar Lifetime TV movie named Kept Woman that I saw awhile back which was truly watchable and exciting. In that movie we saw how the perpetrator was able to put on a facade on everyone. Incorporating the outside perspective (such as seeing how Brad is able to keep these women hidden or seeing how Chelsea's family is dealing with her being gone) would have helped keep things fresh.
The pacing was my biggest problem here - I never felt a rush of thrills or any reason to keep watching. The first 20 minutes were make or break for me- I almost turned it off.

Even the dialouges are slow, the action of horror are slow, the plotspeed are slow, everything is slow in here.
its a typical social media horror genre alla lure the ''fjortis'' in the trap, and lock the locks very tight to use her as a sex slave and as a humble house girl. in this story though there are 4 girls trapped in the same complex of a hellhole, all of them called siggy, and all of them made up and hairdone like eachother, all of them in creerleading suits...its all a game of playing with the devil and you might win or not.... the psychopaty that lingers in the house are some realistic and some not. the schizofrenic changing into several persons are typical, and might feel scary for some, what i felt a little was the claustrophobia of the locked environment.
acting, well all the tars here aint born yet, but they might. but nothing to acclaim for. the filmographic work aint bad at all, and the colourfull decorative work done at the main set , gives you a weird sense of normality, so its a well done job there.
its a film that will scare some, make others laugh, and most will jump of halfway, so its just a pinch of a spoonful recommend from the grumpy old man

This movie was terrible. JUST awful. When I saw the trailer, I thought it had some promise. I'm an American, so I enjoyed the idea of a blonde female cast. I thought this could be like Split, another movie with a bunch of abducted girls. Only hotter.
But no. The only thing hot was the mess of a wig on the final girl's head the whole time. I'm telling you, it caused me pain to see that horrible wig on the screen throughout most of the movie-particularly because the blondeness of the psycho's sister Sadie was kind of important to the plot. So let's get this straight: Instead of casting by one of the +/minus 1 bazillion blonde 20ish actresses trying to land a movie in Hollywood, they cast a brunette, have a scene where her character is forced to bleach her hair, and then outfit her for the rest of the movie with the most godawful, not-foolin-anybody wig ever seen outside an amateur drag night.
Was it because the lead actress was otherwise so perfect for the role? It was not. This woman couldn't act her way out of a paper bag, which is a problem when you're doing whole movie with, essentially, a cast of 4. Her motivation was "whiny/indignant" throughout the entire movie, which was really strike three in getting the audience to like the character. (Strikes one and two being, of course, telling no one you are meeting a stranger from the Interapps and accepting an obviously roofied drink and texting incessently during the first 15 minutes of the movie. Rude.) A very poor final girl.
The rest is standard fare. Trauma. Tears. Plotting escape. Flashbacks revealing that the psycho has-wait for it... a dark past.
I won't spoil the details, but the end of the movie is positively bizarre and absolutely laughable in at least 3 ways. Then, in the strangest moment of all, right before the credits, the director makes you wonder if he thought he was directing a PSA.

The problem, is that this movie does not benefit from being a slow burn. At least not as slow as this movie is.
The acting is passable. Especially the main lead. He puts forward a very creepy performance. The actresses are also good. The writing is okay. The premise is a good one. Again. It's a good movie.
Would have served from about cutting roughly 15 to 25 minutes.
I've seen many movies like this. Have seen much worse and some better. It almost feels as this movie was meant to be lower budget, but then the company pushed more money into this project. There are obvious plot holes, as there tends to be with movies like this. But. Nothing too glaring. Could definitely seen worse. But. Also better. Good viewing as along as you know what to expect.

It had this creepy dollhouse-like atmosphere.
The story was pretty basic but passable.
Endless "I would have just done XYZ" situations, typical characters making nonsense decisions. I don't mind this so much in horror though because I almost feel like it's part of the fun of bad horror movies.
Overall I wouldn't really recommend it but it was ok as a one time watch. Your not missing anything if you don't see it though.
