Ayalaan Movie Summary: The film revolves around an alien joining forces with a kind-hearted young man to thwart a ruthless industrialist's destructive project.
Ayalaan Movie Review: Director Ravikumar, known for "Indru Netru Naalai," brings a local touch to the sci-fi concept of an alien on Earth. The film incorporates Tamil cinema essentials like a hero's introduction song, romance, comical sidekicks, a corporate villain (played by Sharad Kelkar), and touches on topics like organic farming. Despite occasional rough transitions, a less menacing villain, and some less impactful scenes in the second half, Ayalaan captivates with its imaginative twists on familiar Hollywood themes. The first half introduces the alien, Tattoo, as a charming character, creating wonder and humor that appeals to both kids and adults. Seamless visual effects enhance the film's magic, while occasional exciting moments overshadow its shortcomings. Overall, Ayalaan offers an entertaining experience, especially for those who enjoy creative takes on sci-fi elements.

One of the standout elements of Ayalaan is the impressive CGI work done on the alien character. The expressions and emotions portrayed on the alien's face are truly captivating, adding depth to its character...
While Ayalaan may not be SK's best work, it certainly succeeds in delivering an entertaining experience. The film manages to keep the audience engaged throughout, thanks to its engaging plot and well-executed visuals. It is undoubtedly a treat for both young and old alike, making it a great choice for a family outing...
Many compromises from the director for commercialization of the movie which let him down...The director's visual storytelling shines, creating awe-inspiring scenes that transport viewers to alien landscapes. The cinematography seamlessly blends practical effects with CGI, enhancing the overall immersive experience...Ar rahmans bgm elevates the movie to a new level while the songs ain't catchy except MAANJA NEE
Overall, it is a pretty fun and adventurous film to watch especially 2k kids...

I can clearly say this film is good. Announced on 2016 and started shooting on 2018 and packed up on 2019. Afterwards spend most of the time on post production cause they faced a lot trouble on financial. And my main concern is about the budget, if you notice the vfx and the budget - it won't suit up. Cause the animation looks more cartoonish - Compared to that animation level. Cause there's no proper retro scoping, the hands of human being while touching alien won't mark up properly, the boot of alien looks more bigger than the alien, no proper timed motion blur, green screen isn't merged with colour grading and many mistakes. And they needed to work on story more.
I don't know why but whenever a good director join hands with a big actor he somehow looses track on his project.
Ravikumar's previous project Indru Netru Naalai is one of the best Sci-Fi time travel film in Tamil Cinema. The film had so much content and an engaging plot.
Ayalaan, extraordinary VFX. Congratulations to the whole team because they've brought Kollywood to the next level in terms of VFX only not the film.
First half was good but due to lack of content second half was poorly executed.
Music was okay, cinematography was good.
Dear directors , if you don't have any ideas to sneak in second half , please just decrease the film's duration. We as audience are not dumb to watch Sivakarthikeyan fight a robot for 10 minutes and using a balloon to fly to another building.
Film had potential but basic storyline made it ended as an average one time watchable film
6/10 , strictly for kids.

Everyone's talking about ET and Koi Mil Gaya as obvious sources of inspiration, but my best guess is .. writer-director R Ravi Kumar watched Greg Mottola's Paul (2011) at some point and thought Tamizhify-ing it would be a good idea. Considering the film has been in production hell for years, I'm glad at least the visual effects do not disappoint. PhantomFX does a pretty solid job, and it's indeed their hard work that sustains the film's watchability factor. I'll also give part of that credit to Siddharth, who voices Tattoo the cute alien.
But I wish the writing ingenuity that I witnessed in Ravi Kumar's Indru Netru Naalai was present here too. The screenplay is inconsolably generic, and even kids would find the plot developments overstuffed and the feeble attempts at humor quite lackluster. Sivakarthikeyan does alright in a role that only tries to milk the middle-class guy-next-door perception he has, while the usually funny sidekicks (Yogi Babu, Karunakaran) are not as fun this time around. The antagonists are one-note too, and a returning (femme fatale) Isha Koppikar is way more interesting than Sharad Kelkar here. Oh, Rakul Preet Singh is in there somewhere too, I almost forgot! Also, this is probably the most forgettable soundtrack that ARR has composed in recent memory.
