Wow. I was not expecting this to be so good. And the best part was the lack of typical cringy kdrama elements.
I'm sad there are so few reviews.
Time slips are so tricky and they almost always seem to be thrown together in the end just to make things work out logically. This one was not perfectly done but not so bad as to be called "full of plot holes."
I'll give this one credit. It was very late in the series before I figured out the twist, but even then, there was such anticipation building up to the reveal, I could not stop watching.
The Shinwoo Bromance was sooo well done. Both actors were good but Young Shinwoo stood out among the rest. (More lead roles Ji-Hoon please)
It was perfect at 10 episodes. It almost felt draggy in spots but thats just because I was so anxious to see what happens next, I wasn't very appreciative of some of the heartfelt dialog.
It did overuse flashbacks a bit too much toward the end, but considering it wasnt produced to be watched all in one day, they were probably helpful to the original audience.
So 8/10 for me. Points deducted because I wanted to see more "affectionate action" with Jisoo and both Shinwoo's but I'm just greedy like that. Although, It was a little uncomfortable when scenes portrayed "minors" practically on dates adults but there was so little skinship here it didn't cross into anything inappropriate.

I finished watching this yesterday. I found it kind of illogical for it's plot holes. It would be awesome if these holes weren't made.
I watched this drama 2 times first on MX Player, Hindi dubbed, where the title is "Melting Hearts" - and honestly, it turned out to be a beautiful surprise. Second time I watched for the originality, The story revolves around a guy who travels back in time to his high school days, trying to change the fate of his first love. What I loved most is how innocent and sincere the characters are. There's no unnecessary drama, just pure emotions and a sense of longing that stays with you.
The time-travel element adds a fresh twist, and though it's not very complex, it's handled in a way that doesn't confuse the viewer. I really connected with the main character's helplessness when he sees his past mistakes and gets a second chance. It's something many of us secretly wish for.
Also, the OST is so calming and emotional - it fits the mood perfectly. If you are into light romantic dramas with a touch of fantasy and nostalgia, this is a good watch. It's short, sweet, and gives you that warm feeling.
Yes, it's a bit slow at times and the ending could have been more powerful, but overall, it's worth watching once. Not for those looking for intense thrill or heavy romance - this one is more about the feeling of what if...

A fantasy drama with good premisses but a so so story in the end. It's hard to think that the two male leads are actually the same character. They look rather like big brother and his little student brother who fell for the same woman. The story gets a bit too complecated when the teacher goes back in time and meets his first love, forcing her to like him back but as a grown up now and not as her classmate. So, a really really odd love triangle is developed. The ending was so so as well. It could have been better, but at least it wasn't boring. So, 4 out of 10.
Longing Heart, also known as Melting Heart or My First Love, is a romantic K-drama with a unique time-travel twist that hooked me from start to finish. I first watched it on MX Player around 2019 or 2020, and despite its sometimes silly time-travel premise, I found myself loving every moment. It's not my first K-drama, but it's one I keep coming back to-sometimes I'll rewatch an episode just for the nostalgia.
The story revolves around a man who goes back in time to his high school days, hoping to rewrite his awkward first love. This gives the drama a mix of romance, comedy, and emotional depth that I absolutely love. It's a heartfelt journey through young love and second chances, capturing how even the smallest choices can impact our lives. For anyone into romance with a twist, Longing Heart is a must-watch!
