Although titled Tholiprema, the movie has some similarities with Khushi. The character development, story and direction are good. Cinematography and Music are engaging. The performances are convincing.

Although film is good as a whole, there are several illogical scenes which could have been avoided with a little care. Overall, it's another love story in Telugu cinema.

Varun Tej Looks Stylish..Improved his Performance Much Better Than His Previous Movies..All In ALL Movie Is Awesome...

Tholi Prema (2018):

Tholi Prema has created huge buzz for many reasons, for starters, the title is based on Pawan Kalyan's iconic film, the songs of the movie turned out to be chart-busters and most importantly this is Varun Tej's immediate movie after blockbuster Fidaa.So how is it?

Plot:

Aadi (Varun Tej) is an instinctive youngster who falls in love with Varsha (Raashi Khanna) when he spots her for the first time in a train journey. Later he meets her in an engineering college again. They fall in love and he realises that she is a calculative person unlike him. She has problem with temperament and anger issues of Aadi. Rest of the story is all about the clash of two different personalities and how they realise that they can be together despite having contrasting natures.

My Review:

Writer-turned-director Venky Atluri has taken a simple feel-good, love-hate-love-hate romantic script that talks about the highs and lows of a couple's relationship over six years. No matter how age-old the story sounds, love stories, especially when served with a right proposition of drama and romance, never fail to delight the audience. Tholi Prema is one such movie with a very simple core plot packed with some fresh scenes and beautiful moments.To bring life to a beaten to death script like Tholi Prema, you need magic in the love-relationship that is on display. That sizzling chemistry is visible between the lead pairs Varun Tej and Rashi Khanna . Having said that, the latter part of the second half slightly drags when their relationship gets a little complicated.

First half started slow but once the college setup begins,Tholi Prema starts to entertain us with feel good moments and hilarious comedy too.The "Akka","Rakhi" and "Car" episodes are amazing.All these scenes reflect the romance of today's youth.Once the story comes to break-up scene during the interval, they meet again in London and anyone can guess how the movie will progress here after. This is where the film slips. The predictability in the second half is a major drawback.

Varun Tej gets to show two shades in his character as a college student and later as a matured working professional. He is quite good in both his roles and gives a neat performance.Raashi Khanna is amazing as Varsha. Perhaps it is one of her career best role after Oohalu Gusagusalade and she nails it in every which way and showcases the actress in her. Raashi gets some very good dialogues and delivers them spot on.In their brief appereances, Priyadarshi Pullikonda, Hyper Aadhi and Vidyullekha Raman light up a few scenes with their comic acts.

SS Thaman has come out of his comfort zone to give beautiful and fresh music for Tholi Prema.The background music by Thaman and cinematography by George C Williams are on-point too.

So,Tholi Prema is highly cliched but still an entertaining film with nice performances,breezy moments and soulful music.

My Rating 6.75/10

The movie lacks originality in every department. Screenplay and story telling are awfully bad. The situations are artificial and one wonders whether such things can happen between couples. Diction of the lead characters is pretty bad , they mispronounce most of the common Telugu words.

First and foremost, this movie is the best love story for Telugu film industry in recent times. Debutante Director Venky Atluri has done a fantastic job with his Heart touching/convincing/memorable storyline, splendid screenplay/dialogues and stunning direction.

The BIG PLUS for the movie is the lead pair.. their chemistry on-screen is absolutely stunning to say. Very Fresh, very beautiful and very real. Varun and Raashi have given their career best performances.. just brilliant in every frame!!

Last but not the least, the soul stirring songs and background score work by Thaman is the backbone to this romantic saga.

Its not a movie to be watched but an experience to be felt. Dual Thumbs up. DON'T MISS IT! 9/10

Good love story of 2 stranger they break up n again patch up

It is a movie to watch. Nice, heart touching love story, with a simple and predictable story line, but well written and well said. It will be a memorable film for both the lead actors and the director.

This made me realise how much important is first love in all our lives!!!!

After PawanKalyan's Tholiprema this is the movie which is liked by many.... . Especially songs best movie in 2018......

Tholiprema is yet another love story in Telugu with emotions that seem superficial and writing so amateur that it feels like one of the million short films(read love stories) that are put on YouTube everyday. The movie benefits from some good music and bearable screenplay. Overall the movie is tacky and lacks depth like is the case with most of the Telugu films these days. Not to be compared with Karunakaran's classic Toliprema .

Tholi Prema Review Good movie ! Simple love story but engaging screenplay,catchy songs and nice background music makes it worth watching . Felt the movie was little dragging in the second half ! Tholi prema literally meaning first love is directed by the debutante director Venky atlure is a simple love story.The actors varun and rashi khanna done a wonderful job.The movie is so fresh and music is the key of this movie.All the songs are good especially the title track.Kudos to Thaman. Can't stop praise the effort done by the cinematographer all the frames are fresh and song making is just wonderful. Just watch it in a good mood.You are definitely going to love this movie.

Story... Tholiprema is New Tollywood movie which hits theatre on feb 10 2018.. As A Story When Varun Meets Raashi A love at first site For Him... Later Rashi Also Approves his love.. with some of ego issues and missunderstands they will get breakup soon... After 6 years they meet each other in foreign for career work related.. What happened next.. are they still in love... Will they succeed in love by leaving their ego... Why they got breakup.. how they meetup at same place after 6 years is rest of the story.... Review... First full marks for director cum writer venky Atluri.. as a debudant director he chooses sensetive love story and fulfilled with beautiful emotional scenes all over the movie.. his dialogue and screenplay is very simply and catchy for which connects to all over generation.. he shown the love story of 3 generation times which happens in inter, degree and mature age.. his direction is simply awesome with stunning work.. and actors varun tej rashi kanna.. they are best with thier career best performance ... Varun looks in 3 generations and stunning dances expression with eyes are just we cant believe him what we seen in his previous movies... What a change over.. he looks damn like powerstar who is his babai in real life... Rashi also done excellent job with beauty and cute looks... Next main is music.. woo what a magical music mr. Thaman... We can see new thaman worked for this movie... Cool songs melodies breakup songs love songs and what a bgm.. that bgm is heart for this movie... Good camera work choreography foriegn location everything is top notch... Everybody will love this movie by heart who has a love story and who knows a love pain they will connect quick... It's a very good movie with Varun Tej and Raashi Khanna preforming very well. Provided with a good story and comedy by Hyper aadhi, and priyadarshi. Enjoyed the movie.

A simple, sweet and lovable movie, can be watched with family.
