A funny and heartwarming look at Muslim-American life. An eye-opener for anyone who is unfamiliar with this community. This film deserves wide distribution.

Poignant and relevant!

The movie was a lighthearted take on very relevant issues faced by immigrant families especially from the south Asian diaspora. I enjoyed the story line, the comic relief and the women empowerment in the movie! Great job!

Excellent movie with wide range!

I saw Americanish at a film festival thinking I was at another screening, but I'm delighted that I got to see this instead! The movie does an impressive job of weaving together multiple stories of very different women who are all fully believable and sympathetic. It hits a good balance of complicated, challenging situations and rom-com hijinks. My one complaint is that I did not get as much of the mother's story as I would have liked, but with four narratives to balance it's impossible to fully explore all the threads in one movie. Definitely worth seeing and sharing!

A Fabulous Look at American Life

This film was so cute and entertaining while still tackling current politcal problems. We need more films like this. It's not my culture and I'm so glad to have the opportunity to get a peek into other people's lives and cultures.

Too much of Hollywood has been about only white people for way too long. The world has more to offer and well-written and well-directed movies like this should become commonplace.

Great job to both the actors and production team. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys fun rom-coms. My spouse loved it too.

I can't wait to see what this director makes next.
