Weird and funny film

I am so happy this film exists! It is really unique and there were many LOL Chris Elliot physical comedy moments. Some of my favorite and most memorable scenes were when the daughters were talking very candidly and saying things that I myself would never say around my parents. I hope there is a sequel!

Plot seemed interesting

EDIT: I finally finished it and I'm lowering my rating.

I'm over an hour in and nothing has really happened. It's not what I was expecting at all. I have such secondhand embarrassment watching this, I just feel bad because it's so cringey. I think most of the characters are meant to be cringey but it's just not pleasant to watch. Kind of like watching the Kardashians if they had a ghost. And the ghost would be the most interesting character. More ghost, less bratty, spoiled characters would have helped.

I'm not sure what can happen in the last 32 minutes that can save this movie.

I had to make this review longer so I could submit it. Almost there. Ok, done.

Not Even Remotely Good

I wanted to like this movie mainly because I'm a fan of Chris Elliot who is in the film along with what appears to be his entire family. Unfortunately it's poorly written, amateurishly directed and pointless.

Cartoon characters jabbering about this and that and hunny, you're not Woody Allen.

You've had an entitled life and that doesn't qualify you to direct or write.

Nothing here. Keeping on moving.

Not funny or dramatic

This movie is just weird and not in a good way. The lead actress was terrible and Chris Elliot as some multiple Oscar winning dramatic actor?!? Haha! I love Chris Elliot but, c'mon! What was the plot? I honestly have no idea because I could only get through 25 minutes of this and a film has to be VERY bad for me not to finish it.

cringeworthy. worth it.

Perfectly enjoyable film. not for the hollywood blockbuster sycophants.

there are some cringeworthy (the good kind) moments, some laughs and some great emotional moments that break the cut and dry hollywood same'ol.

probably not a great movie for people who'd rather analyse director shots rather than actually enjoying the story and getting lost in the moment.
