Clara's Ghost

EDIT: I finally finished it and I'm lowering my rating.

I'm over an hour in and nothing has really happened. It's not what I was expecting at all. I have such secondhand embarrassment watching this, I just feel bad because it's so cringey. I think most of the characters are meant to be cringey but it's just not pleasant to watch. Kind of like watching the Kardashians if they had a ghost. And the ghost would be the most interesting character. More ghost, less bratty, spoiled characters would have helped.

I'm not sure what can happen in the last 32 minutes that can save this movie.

Clara's Ghost has to be one of the most baffling films I've seen in recent memory. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, though. Though it doesn't fit neatly into any real genre, it's certainly never dull and the performances make it worthwhile. Everyone is on their A-game here with the entire Elliot family coming across rather well.

The only way to describe this movie is like a mashup of Let's Scare Jessica To Death and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, but with an entitled family of actors (save the matriarch who may or may not be having a mental breakdown.) Hayley Joel Osmet even shows up as a family friend who supplies weed to the family, which only causes things to get worse.

Clara's Ghost is endlessly fascinating and unlike anything I've ever seen.

The movie help me and my friends learn to help. The move is fun and musical.

Avoid like the Plague. I kept waiting for this film to start.....or even make sense.

This movie is just weird and not in a good way. The lead actress was terrible and Chris Elliot as some multiple Oscar winning dramatic actor?!? Haha! I love Chris Elliot but, c'mon! What was the plot? I honestly have no idea because I could only get through 25 minutes of this and a film has to be VERY bad for me not to finish it.
