Here's a wartime industrial film praising the railroads, their management, their workers, keeping them rolling in service of the war effort and a brighter future.
Like most industrial films of this sort, there's a lot of truth in here as narrated by Don McNamara, and a lot of gas. The railroads were and remain absolutely vital to America's industrial and commercial infrastructure. However, the management has done poor jobs of managing them, which is why the Government imposed strict controls and rules on them during both World Wars. But a certain amount of gas is always necessary for morale, so let's forgive writer-director Carl Dudley in his efforts to boost the industry and keep everyone working hard.
