"Amaltash" to be a touching portrayal of the complexities of life and the healing power of music.

As a moviegoer, I found "Amaltash" to be a touching portrayal of the complexities of life and the healing power of music. The film's narrative, centered on Rahul, a musician whose life takes an unexpected turn, is both engaging and thought-provoking. Rahul Deshpande delivers a stellar performance, bringing depth and nuance to his character's journey through the highs and lows of life.

The setting in Pune lends a sense of realism to the film, making the characters' experiences more relatable. The music is undoubtedly the soul of "Amaltash," with melodies that linger long after the credits roll. The supporting cast, especially Pallavi Paranjape as Keerti, complements the story beautifully, adding layers to the unfolding drama.

While the film does have moments where the pacing seems off, it doesn't detract from the overall experience. "Amaltash" is a film that doesn't shy away from the raw emotions of its characters, and it's this honesty that strikes a chord with the audience. It's a movie that invites reflection and leaves you with a sense of hope and a smile. A must-watch for anyone who appreciates cinema that mirrors the subtleties of real life.

Touching Story

I have watched such a high standard movie, after a very long time. The performances of all the characters are so natural and genuine. Story, direction ... everything is par excllence. It is a gift to all music lovers and also to those, who are always in search of natural subtle movies. Rahul Deshpande is a great classical singer, but didn't know that he is a good actor also. Pallavi Paranjpe, Mrs. Padhye and all the team have really lived their characters. Dialogues are crisp and to the point. One thing I hate in all hindi and marathi movies is the overacting by the side characters. .This movie scores on this point and gives us a pleasant surprise. Very commendable efforts by the entire team. .

A likeable cliché but a good example for the Marathi film industry.

I realized it within the first few minutes that the movie is going to be a Marathi (loose) adaptation of ' Rock-on'. They later added flavours of 'Kal Ho Na Ho', and 'Swades'. Per se, I wasn't interested in the screenplay. While Punekars might be overwhelmed by emotions, an outsider wouldn't be impressed.

What I liked about the movie is it's humble representation of Marathi families and friends:
  • No hyper intensive acting, deafening dialogue deliveries, or unbearable gestures.

  • The bonding among friends, siblings, uncle and niece, and so on is shown in a realistic way. They even managed to sprinkle humour around the 'Admin' character.

  • Even if the background score was overused in the first half, it mellowed down later.

  • The overall tone, and presentation of the movie is soothing.

It is a one-time watch but should serve as a benchmark to Marathi filmmakers who have gradually lost their fibre of humility and sobriety in their filmmaking.

Amaltash - Cinematic brilliance

The way movie portraits the life of Rahul , Deepti and other people around them is absolute bliss to watch.

The cinematography, location is so real that you feel you are the part of that moment. Pune... wow !! Such beautifully captured and showed to us, feels like home. Kudos to DOP also.

Also, I want to appreciate a lot to the actors, each and every individual in this movie played the best out of them. Feels so natural & real. Didn't feel like they were acting.

The music, ahh, soul touching :) Rahul sir, Sashtang Namaskar! You are really God gifted ! You really got an absolute pitch, like that granny says.

Anybody who wants good 2 hours and wants to experience the simple, pure Love, soulful music then you must was this film, you will enjoy this film!

"A Touching Tale of Love and Music"

It gives you a soothing experience while watching beauty of real Pune. Cinematography is stunning representing life of Wada's in Peth Area.

The chemistry of couple unveils bond of love along with love for music. The impromptu jam session with Rahul, Keerthi, and their friends is a heartwarming moment that showcases their joy and camaraderie.

Rahul and Pallavi had done really great job while acting calm and playing the roles of artists in the movie. Rahul's final performance, despite his deteriorating health, is a testament to his passion and his love for Keerthi. You must watch this marathi movie.
