Iranian-American conflict comedy!

1st Born is a funny and relatively short movie dealing with the political and cultural misunderstandings and issues of Iran and USA starring some famous actors like Val Kilmer and Knepper etc. Of course the humor could be a little bit hard to notice at times if you're not familiar with Iranian culture and community and cultural/political differences which create irony. Also the movie is fast-paced and assembled well by the director Ali Atshani. This makes for a good 1 hour and 20 minutes entertainment if you're not watching it to nitpick.

Funny to watch

1st Born seemed a quite funny film. Apart from the whole story, what happened to two fathers was interesting so what I can say is that it was funny for me.

Great movie

It is a timeless no movie can ever match the caliber of this movie. I would call it the masterpiece of human film industry.

This movie has it all; drama, action, romance . It's emotionally so powerful that it breaks the viewer into tears of laughing and in my opinion still unparalleled. A beautifully woven love story about two people from different backgrounds who fall in love with each other on the grand .those of you who still haven't seen it, take a box of tissue papers and a tin of ice cream, sit back and experience this all- time great film Considering the years it was produced in will make you realize that how much effort was put into it by everyone.

Nice movie with a different story

When I watched this movie, I found it different because of the story. It's a good comedy and worth watching it.

Really this was awful in every way, scripting, plot, acting

First of all I can see I am the first actual review (not counting the review by a single use throwaway account by someone involved in the film created solely to give this worthless film a ten star review). My grandfather was an immigrant, married to his US born wife, so I thought I'd give this a watch hoping to see some part of that type of experiences both poignant and humorous. There is none of that. Just the culture of complaint backed by no redeeming quality.

Lastly, what the heck is with Val Kilmer?
