I bought this for my Nintendo switch, the only grievance I have is the graphics. I was hoping for better graphics on this game since several other switch games have excellent graphics. The game runs beautiful as long as you have a sturdy internet access. Lastly I hope Nintendo and the devs will help us out with graphics updates in the future.
Dead By Daylight is an asymmetrical horror game that allows you to either play as one of four survivors working to repair generators to escape a place of nightmares, or as the killer hunting down those survivors.
The game overall is very enjoyable when playing as both a survivor and a killer. There are a good variety of unique characters, especially when it comes to killers, and just as much variety when it comes to locations and perks each character can use.
However, the game is not very new player friendly. The matchmaking system, like with most PvPs, has its flaws and can lead new players to face off against experienced players, and this is where the game's main problems shine. As a new player, each survivor starts off only able to use a very limited number of perks at their weakest state, the same goes for killers, making it especially more difficult for new players to be on the same play field as veteran players. On top of that, progression is extremely slow, and much of the game's content is stuck behind pay-walls - most survivors and killers, and thus their perks are locked unless you purchase them individually, this also applies to cosmetics for all characters.
Perhaps the least enjoyable part of the game is its repetitive nature. Every game is the same, the killer hunting down four survivors and the four survivors working together to get generators completed so they can escape. There is little variation in the gameplay which can quickly bore players.
The best part of the game is how well it recreates the atmosphere of the Horror genre. The locations, killers, and use of sound and lighting, help create a spine-chilling atmosphere that makes you feel like you're apart of a Horror film. The game has also been working more to create intriguing lore for each of their characters, but this is more of an optional experience that requires a lot of effort from the player's end to be able to discover. And on the other side, playing as a killer is really fun, at least until the toxic playerbase comes to play.
Unfortunately, like most PvPs, people simply can't enjoy this game without sending you mockery and threats, especially if you're a minority.

Dead by Daylight is an asymmetrical horror game where 1 killer takes on 4 survivors in various different maps. Survivors objective is to repair 5 generators out of 7 generators randomly placed in the map. After 5 generators have been fixed survivors have to open at least 1 of 2 doors and escape the killer. Killer's objective is to prevent survivors from escaping. Killers can sacrifice survivors for the spider looking entity. But killers are also able to kill survivors or let them bleed out on the floor but this gets the killer lesser points. Survivors can save each other off the hooks. Survivors can be hooked twice and third time kills them permanently. Survivors also have pallets and windows to gain distance to the killer.
There is plenty of different perks in the game which make killers and survivors stronger. From survivor being able to destroy sacrifice hooks to killer being able to one hit down survivors instead of the normal 2 hit down. Survivors also have different items. Flashlights, med-kits, keys, toolboxes and maps. Survivors can use add-ons on the items to make the items stronger. Killers also have add-ons to make their ability stronger or even change it to something quite different.
There is currently 13 playable survivors in the game. Each survivor has it's unique perks that can be used with other survivors after reaching certain levels and obtaining the perks. Survivors don't differ from each other by anything else than by how they look. You can obtain all unique perks to one survivor. There are some recognizable survivors from horror movies like Laurie Strode, David Tapp and Quentin Smith.
There is 12 playable killers in the game who have different abilities compared to each other. Killers also have unique perks that can be obtained to other killers. There is some unique killers to the game like Evan MacMillan (Trapper),Philip Ojomo (Wraith). But there is also classic killers from classic horror movies like Michael Myers, Leatherface, Amanda Young and Freddy Krueger.
This game includes a lots of DLCs called "Chapters". Some DLCs can be bought using in-game currency but Licensed DLCs have to be bought using real money. Even if you haven't bought specific DLC you can still play in it's map and face against the DLC killers.
The game has many balance problems. Developers are active and face a lots of criticism. The game divides into two kind of people. Survivor mains and Killer mains. Survivor mains are the bigger amount of the whole player amount. Killer players feel like the killers are unpowered because they can in worst case chase one specific survivor for the whole game and finish the game with 0 kills and 4 survivors escaped. Survivor mains criticize the developers strongly when the survivors face any kind of nerfs.
If you buy this game expect frustration when nothing goes well and expect some crazy evil laugh when you catch that one survivor you hate.

This game is great, but I think they should add a game mode where there's 4 killers and 16 survivors, with one gigantic map and 12 generators or so. That'd be a lot of fun.
It takes awhile to get used to it but I love it and watching the videos on YouTube. It's now my favorite game to play on the Xbox. Sometimes it lags but other then that it's a definitely a ten
