I've watched this channel since 2015. At first glance, I though it was really funny, but nothing much else. However, I kept watching from the bloopers to the newer content. SMG4 is definitely one of my favorite YouTube channels while growing up. The channel's storyline and comedy changed in late 2017, but I don't really mind it.
The newer content from 2017 onwards can be skeptical for some, but I really think that SMG4 started to grow here. From the Waluigi Arc to the YouTube Arc, I kept watching. While the old SMG4 focused on just the comedy, modern SMG4 focuses on both the comedy and story. As time went on and SMG4 got bigger, I was happy to see Luke and Kevin progressed. The channel is certainly amazing, and I'm glad I took a look a long time ago. Here's to the future of SMG4.

I remember when I first saw SMG4 around 2012ish. I didn't like it. I was trying to find Mario "bloopers" (not to be confused with the Mario enemy of the same name). I hated the fact that it was mainly text based.
Jump forward like 2 years later and I decide to watch again. The quality had vastly improved, and the humor was hilarious and the meme sound effects and wacky stupid humor made me crack up. However, that was about it.
Jump to now and Luke and Kevin are making full storylines, collabs with big name youtubers, and even their own fully animated cg series (Meta Runner) and you have one of the most inspiring stories on Youtube.
The only problem I can think of is that you still have to read subtitles and that makes it nearly impossible to multitask while watching it. Otherwise it's one of my favorite series on the internet.

So I found this channel again recently and I remembered seeing his older videos when I was younger and I've decided to catch up from around 2016 until now.
I've just caught up with all the episodes and this channel is still as funny as it was back then. (Except for some bad videos from 2011-2014) If you like funny videos full of randomness and memes and not too much seriousness then I would definitely recommend this channel, at least starting from 2015.

SMG4 is a funny, crazy, sporadic, intense, even emotional and total madness of a ride in it's dumb (but good) ways, no mater what episode it is.

I love every episode that releases. It has the best current memes used at the right time for the most comedic moments. If you haven't seen it, go watch it right away. You won't regret it.

I started watching SMG4 all the way back in 2012 and I remember how amazing things were back then. I always remember the old classics in the 2011-2015 era, like Who let the chomp out? and Freddy's Spaghettiria. The R64, Guards N' Retards, and the SSENMODNAR series were the classics back in the day. I have seen every SMG4 episode to this day. And of course, the memes. My favorite being when the pingas joke just comes out of nowhere and I start dying on the other side of the screen. I hope this series continues to become better and better. Even when doing extras on the side, The SMG4 series will live for eternity.

I remember when I first watched SMG4 and I instantly fell in love with the channel and I still love it today! This is a GREAT example of a channel that is SO stupid and self-aware of itself that it actually works! When I think of SMG4, I think of it as a masterpiece of ALL randomness and I love every minute and every second of his videos and they just NEVER get old! I do enjoy the audio and dialog in every video and that's what makes SMG4 so funny and hilarious to watch, especially with the meme dialouge and today, the channel is currently at 1.7 million subscribers and it's VERY impressing that a channel with great and random content could get sooooo much attention and SMG4 is definitely one of best YouTube channels I've watched in a long time!

This YouTube channel is my favorite and it's super hilarious, there will be some dark things time to time for younger viewers but it's the best YouTube channel ever.

I have been watching SMG4 for a very long time every since 2015, and I have to say that the show has been on a slow decline in humor and charm. I must emphasize the charm, because as the show progressed the show became more high quality and started to appeal to different audiences. Which turned the og fans away from the show. The new characters are terrible, as with the arcs. The first few were pretty good, but the later arcs proved that the creators have forgotten about the original audience. The newer arcs do not feel like they were intended for SMG4, but rather a different show entirely. The main reason for this is the new company they have created called GLITCH. The shows on GLITCH have been affecting SMG4 as a whole and thus makes the product more and more mediocre as time goes on. I am not sure if SMG4 can recover its glory days.

It's hard to describe SMG4. To put it simply, it's a series involving Mario (being a spaghetti loving moron) and his friends including SMG4 (who looks are like his only wearing blue and white clothing), Luigi, Toad just to name a few going on wacky, fast-paced meme filled adventures.
Of course from that description, the point of this series is to be a comedy, subverting the Mario universe and other Nintendo properties like Zelda or Kirby. It has a wide variety of humour from slapstick, fourth wall breaks, dark and sex filled humour (btw this isn't a family friendly channel, despite many children making up a great deal of the audience) and while most of them can work, providing lots of laugh out loud laughs, others do come across as awkward but not as bad as something like Family Guy. The way the show inserts memes surprisingly doesn't feel forced (at least in early seasons but I'll come to that later) and each character (protagonist or antagonist) have their own unique personalities.
Now onto flaws: Many SMG4 viewers have their own vision of when the show entered Simpsons, Family Guy or Spongebob territory of seasonal rot around season 5 (2016-2017) or above (I personally think it went downhill in 2018). This is because of repeated plot lines from earlier episodes, overuse of jokes and characters who either overstay their welcome or shouldn't even exist, as well as the inclusion of drama-filled story arcs. People like myself note these issues because they feel out of place within the shows environment and universe (A show where nearly everyone has a love-hate relationship with each other suddenly caring for one another in a big story or completely original characters who are not Nintendo based).
Finally, the show is produced in Super Mario 64 and later on Gmod and uses stock music and sound effects to help deliver the jokes. Rather if that can be considered a good or bad thing can depend on who you ask.
To conclude, if you're looking for a good time, this show is worth a look though stick with 2012-2017 period since that's where most of your good time will come from. 7/10

I first got to know SMG4 when I was in 2nd grade in 2013, I was looking for a video about SM64 ways to die. But I came across a video entitled "101 ways for mario to die (the right way!) 50000 subs!". While watching this video, I was shocked and my head exploded and that's when I found out SMG4. Even though it's a parody I really like it. Absolutely unbelievable, at this point his channel is very popular among Mario fans and he even has an animation company called Glitch Productions and the animations are funded by Screen Australia so the animations are a success. In my opinion, this is my favorite Nintendo parody. I really like his journey from making a simple SM64 parody to having a pretty successful animation company.

I really like the channel, I have been watching it since four years ago. But i'll give it an 8 because of the same jokes being used over and over in its newer videos. but it at least deserves a 8.1 / 10.
But at the end of the day, it's still a great and underrated channel.
1. 2017 is becoming a really OK year as of today.
2. 2016 was alright.
3. 2015 was good and great.
4. 2011-2014 was amazing!

I like the series a lot. I don't care what others said about it. Some people complain that the modern series is bad (especially the arcs) I thought it was a good way to see other way to add new things to the mix and a god way to see characters grow. I liked the series new arcs since it adds things that a single episode can't do. I also like the new characters, I enjoyed the humor, and the series is enjoyable. And even if you don't like the arcs, the funny episodes still is good and funny. I think that people just don't like change, but I generally thinks that it could be good.
I do want to see older characters like X and FM to come back. Along with that I think that the stories balanced comedy and story together. Smg4 is growing, and I personally enjoy these changes with new characters and even more stories. I just think that people just don't like the change and I can respect that, but I am getting tired of people saying "Modern Smg4 sucks." when it really doesn't. I enjoy these newer and fresh stories. In my opinion, if you just focus on comedy, your gonna lose that touch on rewatch. But with stories like the anime and youtube arc, I think that it will be rewatchable and fun to watch at the same time while also giving us growth. This is something a lot of good shows have, and I love it. Also, I am getting tired of everyone saying that modern smg4 sucks, when it really doesn't.
I enjoyed the character arc and the funny humor. I really like it. I can't wait to see what smg4 is gonna bring to us in the future. So I give it a 10/10.

The episodes on this channel do contain A LOT of swearing, some violence and sexual content. It's very funny but NOT for children. It's more for older teens and adults. I recommend it 10/10.

SMG4 has always been an odd ball show. It was once crowned the king of all machinima but nowadays I call it the average slop that roams YouTube trying to feed off of what's still clung to it. Like Nintendo and it's fanbase of odd balls (me included).
I first started watching it around 2016 and was captivated by how cool I thought it was. Jump forward like 4 years and I wasn't watching it anymore because the YouTube algorithim had suggested Scott the Woz which quickly became what is now one of my favourite things on this planet. Second only to a small / medium Dominos pizza with meatballs, ham, and mushrooms.
Anyway, SMG4 is still ok by todays standards but it's not exactly perfect. Sure the quality has gone up and they have brilliant characters like Meggy and Tari but whenvever they get an arc they do nothing with what they were supposed to learn. The arcs nowadays just feel like a writing and animation test for new employees made by Luke & Kevin. Same with the movies.
If anything I think they should just... hmm how do i word this... Not really retire SMG4 but give it longer breaks between episodes so Glitch Productions can focus on spin offs and better titles such as The Amazing Digital Circus and Murder Drones.

I one had decided to let my children (6yo and 8 yo) watch this show on YouTube, BIG MISTAKE. I was absolutely horrified to see the violence, killing, and swearing in this show. This show contained characters farting, pooping, swearing, and even killing each other, but disguises itself as a child-friendly cartoon for children. It is almost as bad as "SuperMarioLogan" with its violence and swearing, parents do not let you children watch this program and make sure to block the channel from your children.

SMG4 is a great animated series with creative plots, funny jokes, and great characters. The series HAS gone through some big changes, though. At around 2017 SMG4 started to prioritize Garry's Mod over Super Mario 64, and started adding more complex, less comedy based characters like Tari, and the infamous "Meggy". These characters along with a MOSTLY slight change in tone (The tone is sometimes drastically shifted in the "arcs" starting in 2018) which has been controversial among fans. Somewhere around 2020 the hate for SMG4 started to become larger, and as of writing this is "New SMG4 bad old SMG4 good" is basically the default opinion now. Its a shame, because many call the show "trash" and "cRiNGe" despite being an actual decent animated series, even in its current state. 8/10 as of now.
