Iron Chef Gauntlet

This road to Iron Chef simply doesn't seem to be quite as challenging as Next Iron Chef was. Bring back Next Iron Chef.

I very much enjoyed Iron Chef Gauntlet. I am not traditionally a fan of "reality" shows as I find they can get repetitive. ICG has short seasons making it hard for the show to feel too repetitive and has a focus on food first. Seeing the incredible chefs cook and seeing the creative dishes they prepared was very enjoyable and there was little to none of the fake drama in a typical reality show which was a nice change of pace. I also enjoy the honesty of having a competition that is an actually competition. Each season you cannot guarantee there will be a winner as the competitor could get to the end and still lose to the Iron Chefs. This adds some actual real intensity that I have not found in other shows. All in all if you appreciate food culture and watching amazingly talented chefs use their creativity I would definitely check out this show. If you are in to the typical reality TV drama and oddball gimmicks this is probably not the show for you.
