Jason has been in a couple half-decent movies and if this ridiculous excuse for a sitcom doesn't completely ruin his career, he should stick to bit parts in those.
This episode left a bad taste in my mouth. I'd love to beat the crap out of whomever gave the green light on this thing. Can't say enough about how bad it is.

The Swallow is a family traveling band, billed as America's Finest Band. They are led by the parents, Meg Swallow (Amy Pietz) and Ken Swallow (Jason Alexander). They are the opening act to Duncan Freedom until the oldest daughter Ria kills him with sex or maybe he ODed on oldest son Alex's drugs. Jermaine is the adopted black son and Casey is the youngest daughter.
This is headed by two TV comedy veteran actors and created by Jason and a Brit. The writing is not always the best. Jason is playing an A-hole. There are loads of oddity in the family. The first noticable thing is that his daughter Ria towers over Jason by a foot. It's completely ridiculous but it's also a potential for a really funny early episode. Meg definitely had sex with a giant Viking. One of the early episodes should have the family deal with that or that non of his kids are his. That could have been really funny and poignant. A lot of stuff could have been funny with this setup. Sometimes it gets to mildly humorous levels but it's never sustained. It only has a 10 episode first season. At least, it doesn't have a laugh track. A lot of people seems to be piling on Jason and he really doesn't deserve it. Quite frankly, this is a basically a more aggressive Costanza.

Wow. This thing is awful! Weak story line. Weak acting. Vulgarity just for the sake of vulgarity, an obvious sign the writers can't think of anything better to say.
The gags are dumb and way too predictable. Child actor delivers lines like you would expect them to be delivered in a high school play.
This was the first and last time I will watch this so-called show.

How did this ever get on the air. Not funny, terrible writing. Some of the cast are talented, but with this vehicle it's hard to tell. It's boring, crude, an insult to the classification of comedy. The inclusion of the profanity and sexual comments is totally just crude and inappropriate.
Interesting that a network called The Audience Network would try to keep an audience with this.
In a true Coztanzaian effort by Jason Alexander this show executes very bad joke, innuendo and cliched comedic situation while shooting itself in the foot that it already stuck in its mouth.
Jason does little to shed the Constanza label in this, it is quite forgettable.
