If you like weird "Twighlight Zone" atmospheric movies that unnerve you then you will enjoy this. Acting is good all round. I guessed the ending about 2/3 the way through but that's ok. Listen, we're in weird times and if you want to escape them, turn down the lights and watch this movie.

I was lucky enough to see this film at a festival in Buffalo, and the audience was buzzing when it was over. A fantastic slow burn indie, keeps the audience on the edge of their seat. The two leads were fantastic, as was the entire cast. I have no clue what the first reviewer was watching, but he seemed pretty engaged to only give it two stars??? Odd. This movie was made with pure passion.....you can tell. Beautifully written and directed, with eerie undertones. One of the things I loved about it, is how it unfolds, and how it plays out like you're on this journey with this couple. You'll NEVER see the end coming.....NEVER. Brilliant work from a director to keep your eye on.

I have read some of the reviews, and I really think some of these low informed people leaving their opinions, just don't get this film. IT IS NOT HORROR. It's a pyscho- thriller, and its more of a thinking man's film. Something the previous two reviewers lack. They don't have an original thought. These are the same people that think Texas Chainsaw remake was good. If that's the case, this is the wrong film for you. This movie tests you early on, thanks to clever writing, eye for detail and lastly, excellent performances by all involved. This director is really onto something, and the last 10-15 minutes literally have you on the edge of your seat. Fantastic film. Masterfully directed. Don't sit this one out.

I never knew what was coming next. The photography was great, the acting was superb. I was always guessing what was coming next, and this movie had me on the edge of my seat. Fantastic- saw it on iTunes.

If this movie had a lead actor up to the roll this would be one of my all time favorites. At no point during this movie did it ever look as if he wasn't acting. Not one emotion or facial expression one piece of dialog did it seem at all natural. The plot the location the writing and everyone else was excellent. One roll and one roll only this lead actor would be perfect for would be a biographical story of William Shatner. Watch this movie enjoy this movie just don't focus on Gabe Fazio. If you can get past the cheesy ham I have no doubt you will enjoy this. It's more atmosphere then bloody and it's lack of gore might bother some and many may not consider this a horror movie more thriller/mystery. Without details how the movie ends, first it was not what I expected and second I really can't think of any ending that could be better. Other theN the great writers/directors I've always thought that "brought to you by the people who brought you, insert movie title, was kind of a joke not with this I will actively search out movies E.B. Hughes is in involved with. Most people who review things myself included are really good at picking nits and many movies are so formulated it's easy to see what will most lucky be the ending and in this movie it was not easy to see because much of the story seems blank and even though I had no clue how it would end I can say the pieces fit together cleanly with no trickery no forced twist it's all just fits in the end. Nothing more needs to be said.

From the opening music and the shot of the car, to the end of the film- each shot is carefully constructed. The acting was excellent, as was the storytelling. I saw it on YouTube, after recommendation from a friend during the pandemic. I'm glad I did. I've been doing a lot of binge watching, and I can easily say of the last 20 new films I have seen, this one is right there near the top.

I'm worried in time I might not be able to connect the film's title to the movie, and that would be a shame, because I really enjoyed this!
This low budget feature has a lot of merit. It's a good story, and very atmospheric, and rather creepy at times. There are also some very disturbing scenes. Gabe Fazio is undoubtedly the film's highlight! His performance is incredible. This guy gave his all for this film, and it shows. I felt his happiness, pain and agony, and he was able to convey so much with a simple facial expression. I mean, give him an Oscar already!!
Gabe Fazio stars as Billy Curtis, who returns to a place he remembers from when he was just six years old. Listen carefully to his dialogue, as it plays a big part later in the film and - if you listen very carefully - will explain the ending. Also take note of small details during the course of the film.
There's quite a bit here that has no payoff. Billy constantly complains about his girlfriend, Lisa, spending too much time texting. She also often "has to phone her mother", but it never contributes to the story in any way. In fact, for most parts I didn't really care for Lisa. Billy - or Gabe for that matter - stole the show in every scene. (Ok, but Augie Duke was good as Lisa - lets give credit where credit is due). Towards the end I felt so sorry for Billy - especially after the twist ending. I wonder if everyone will realize what had happened and what this ending actually means? As I said, you have to pay very close attention to what he says during the first act. I loved this film!

Honestly the fact that it has a 5.5 at 19 thousand ratings is astounding to me. This movie does not deserve that high a rating. The acting was mediocre at best. They emoted somewhat, and at least hit their lines and marks. There is a bit of inteigue to draw you in but its just not worth it. The whole premise is easily figured out within the first 20 minutes, and then it just draws out what could have all been done in the span of half an hour.
Truthfully it fizzled out. There was lots of potential for this to have been a good movie but they just completely dropped the ball.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

I had seen E.B. Hughes film Turnabout at its preview at the Quad Theater in New York City and was very impressed. So I was looking forward to Exit 0, his second feature. I was happy to see it was part of the Sleepy Hollow Film Festival, which meant I could hop on a train and see it in Tarrytown, New York. It was 96 minutes of pure joy. The acting was superb, the screenplay exquisitely paced, the direction perfection. The film is a splendid example of what a true horror film really is. Not full of hideous faces, incantations, and zombies that leap out at you but that kind of leisurely suspenseful suppressed force that scares the hell out of you because it is so real. A psychological thriller that will keep you glued every minute.

The basic plot of this film is solid. It feels almost like a Twilight Zone or Outer Limits episode. Unfortunately, the decent plot is foiled by amateur cinematography, poor sound, uncomfortably awkward dialog, and weak editing. 1. Cinematography looks like it was shot on a camcorder. Color grading is mismatched throughout the film. Several outdoor scenes have blown out highlights. There's also an awkwardly shot scene with the main character and the detective where the 180 degree rule is broken multiple times and it's jarring to say the least. 2. Lots of scenes are shot with noisy room dialogue. 3. The dialogue is not like natural speech. Characters deliver their lines with awkward pauses waiting for the next character to deliver their lines. Not at all like people really speak. 4. This film needs to be cut down by 30 to 45 minutes. Far too much dead time on the screen with nobody speaking.
Bottom line - good premise with bad execution.

I haven't enjoyed a movie such much for a long time. Sure, it has some flaws but name one movie that doesn't?
The actors were great and one should not be put back by some of the acrors' exchanges. We could always come up with some better ideas...after we watch the movie but a movie is just that, a movie The settings were perfect. The acting was not exaggerated and I felt not one boring moment all through the movie.
I did have some questions when the film ended and I had to go back to check some of the scenes to finally understand the ending.
I would encourage anyone to watch this film and I am convinced that most of the watchers will agree with me.
Give me a movie like this anytime :-)

This is really amazing product.... As a critic or reviewer your goal is to offer enough of the story so the audience can decide if it is something of interest to them. Offer the highlights for what the story is about; do not offer a play by play of each scene. Remember, identify the key characters (not the entire cast) who assist in answering the "story question." Here are some items that should be included (if you didn't provide these in your lead).
A. The Setting - In some films you will discover the setting to be an important element for inception-moviethe understanding of the story... it's really good.

The film was slow most the way but still intriguing. Then when you get to the end nothing is explained. So it feels like then why did I just invest in this? It will have you scratching your head...and for that I can't rate it any higher. It seemed to pull pieces from other films and just didn't know which direction it was gonna go. I have seen much better. I have seen much worse. I felt the male lead did fairly well for what he had. Everyone else I didn't really but it. I get to scratch this one off the watchlist. Though I probably won't be going back for a second helping. At least not anytime soon anyway. C-

The app I used to find Exit 0 classified it as horror. It's not. It kept me entertained to the end. I thought it was a enticing story, but I still don't know the story-accurately. Maybe I missed a major, but small scene. If I say more, then it would a spoiler. I think it's fair to say, it's not that memorable.
