The plot is quite clever. It revolves around a character Sam and his relationship with his friend Jay and Jay's sister-in-law Mia and their partners. Sam keeps having blackouts, something that has affected him since his childhood. His relationship with his friends takes a turn when a big secret is revealed that defines what happens for the rest of the movie, but more importantly, what happened to Sam as a child and what happens to him at present. There is a big revelational twist at the end. You can work out the twist quite early if you pay attention to the details (I got it about 25 min in). The opening story was a little slow but I can see they were trying to build the realtionships between the characters so you know who is connected to who. The film direction and editing is a little querky, but for a low budget film, you can't complain too much.
When the action starts, you are drawn into what is going on, but itching for the pace to pick up a little. All in all it is a good film with a few minor slow bits. If you like sci-fi / supernatural and low budget films, this is worth a go.

Pretty decent low-budget movie. Good story and concept. Could have used some better editing, it was little scrambled in some areas.

An interesting idea for a film but not easy to follow, no rhyme or reason, loses it for me. Worth a look but not memorable

Every time I die proved to be something of a surprise, initially I thought I was in for a bog standard thriller, but it turned out to be a rather unique, intriguing film loaded with twists and turns.
It's very well acted, I wouldn't say there's a particular standout, but everyone does a great job, Tyler Fleming is perhaps the standout, he's great as the villain of the peace.
It does perhaps take a little bit of time to get into its stride, but once it does, it's a rather exciting watch. I was expecting Sam to be one of those characters that wouldn't die, but the format was different.
Enjoyed it, 7/10.

One of the tests used by the late Roger Ebert is that the film has to hook you in the first 20 mins or else. Read all the positive reviews, really wanted to like this. but a half hour in, I had a headache bigger than the lead character. Ugh.

It's far from "mind-blowing", some crucial things remain unexplained and the first 20 minutes are indeed not very interesting.
Nevertheless, your patience will be rewarded as the story gets interesting and the pacing gets better.
This is a mystery/thriller that makes you invested, and in the end, you feel empathy for the characters. It's important to fully understand the final twist, it's not so easy to understand as you think, but, if you get it, you realise that this was a movie worth of your time.
Not a great movie, but good enough to watch it. Recommended.

This is actually a very good movie, moving, thought provoking, clever and very well acted and shot. The problem is all that stuff happens after a very drawn out first twenty minutes which, reading the other reviews, is what is putting people off. It's a shame because after that it becomes something else altogether. I guess its like the film makers couldnt decide which way to go with it - at times it is a ethereal atmospheric drawl and then it becomes a full on thriller. Regardless, if you can get past the first 5th of the movie, then you will be pleasantly surprised. Oh, and despite being around a fair while I predict Marc Menchaca will find his Saul Goodman and go on to be massive within the next few years or so - he is an immense presence - not just in physical size! Somebody needs to write "that" movie for him.

This movie isn't going to blow your mind, but it is a well acted movie with a decent storyline that made me think about it. Took awhile to kick off and I would have preferred things to have happened quicker at the start so more of the movie could be focused around each characters change. If you enjoy low budget thrillers then give it a watch.

Just no.
Liked the concept, not the script and could've been delivered alot better.

I think the concept is great, but the consistency of the acting performances was hit or miss. The storytelling was ok, but could have been executed better if plot holes were resolved.
My rating; Concept 10 Acting 3 (due to the women characters, especially the sister) Storytelling 5 (due to plot holes and illogical decisions) Overall 6.

5 unlikable, boring and dull characters. A plot that never really makes sense and never develops. The flashbacks do nothing to add to the story and it gets really old that the flashbacks are just cut and paste of the previous flashback. Had to fight to stay awake and trudge through this movie.

This has been on my watch list since the beginning of last year, I was finally excited to see it come to Netflix! I did of course read the plot but didn't read anything beyond that, I was intrigued because it sounded different. I won't say any spoilers because I like a good review from someone without giving away the twists. I will say, I really appreciated that this movie was unique and fresh. The main character dies about halfway through (listed in plot/non spoiler) but is plagued with strange behavior beforehand. We see constant flashbacks of the main character from his childhood throughout, which does play into the ending. The main character dies and travels into each of his friends bodies to try to explain to the rest of the group what has happened aka his death. Do not expect a ton of haunting or blatant supernatural things. It's more just of a horror/thriller feel. But like I mentioned, I was mostly intrigued and appreciated the originality.

The movie has potential. 30 minutes in there are too many flashbacks and main character Papi is unlikable. Skip it. There are better things on Netflix.

Every Time I Die: Quirky murder/ghost thriller. Starts off rather noirish, a love triangle involving a couple and a friend, the odd man out, Sam, is murdered by the husband. Then it takes a weird turn as Sam's consciousness effectively dybbuks some of his friends as he takes control of their bodies and attempts to warn them about the murderer. More mayhem ensues. There's also a subplot regarding Sam's sister who drowned when he was a child, he carries a burden of guilt over this. It takes time to really get started so I couldn't help but feel that this might have been better off edited down as an episode of The Twilight Zone. But there are some startling and convincing scenes of personality transformation. Writer/Director Robi Michael in his feature debut at the helm delivers a flawed but enjoyable dark thriller. 6/10. On Netflix.

This is not a low budget film, the concept of this film is different, but ingenious. You don't notice any real action for the first 25 minutes, but pay close attention the layout for the film is there and it is worth the wait. Some viewers disliked this film, but I believe that this is the mindset of the future. Make sure you pay attention to every bit of this film if you don't get it at the beginning or the middle you will surely get it in the end.

An interesting concept, but set in such a squalid setting with such really selfish and immoral people.
Basic plot, girl cheats on guy. Husband comes home from the war and things get strange from there with a really unlikable guy body hopping for a rather unlikable woman. All the while getting people needlessly killed to compound the initial error. All of them so wrapped up in themselves that the disaster which happens is pretty much inevitable. By the time the movie ends there's only one person you actually want to see survive it.
On the plus side, music, camera work, acting and such are quite solid. Writing is good aside from leaving nobody to root for really. After the ending you have to conclude nobody was really saved. The damage done made an alternate which probably doesn't exist more of a mercy than the way the movie ended.
