It was fun seeing all the behind the scenes stuff (P Diddy seems like a cool dude) but all in all it was like watching a music video on mute. A bit more concert footage would've raised my rating.
As captivating and compeling is the life and success of Puff Daddy himself, this was quite a boring watch. What is interesting about this documentary tho is learning about some of the things that might have been unknown going into the film, this man definitely made his way from nothing which is intriguing and respectable, was enough to stick around to find out about to a dagree I guess. While alot of whats happened to the rapping businessman in his day to day life up untill this point in time has been alot to jump up and down about in celebration, the narrating and storytelling definitely was almost as fun as watching paint dry.
To be completely honest, everyone in this doesn't seem to be best pleased to share a room with him. What seems to be important is what is not said rather than said and there's a feeling of underlying tension when you see how the artists currently are.
I'm sure there are other versions of the truth that should be heard. Standing there being encouraged by a man who made billions off of your talent and who doesn't seem to have any appreciation for those people is quite narcissistic, but then again would he have gotten there if he wasn't
Not a good documentary, not a good advert for Bad Boy and not a good use of 90 minutes.

This was one of the worst things that I've ever tried to watch. There was no focus. I wanted to learn more about how Bad Boyz Records came to be or even about Puffy's story, which was what I thought this was going to be about but it wasn't. Or, if it was it took too long to get to the point.
I don't think that any clip lasted more than 5 seconds. It was just continually jumping from one idea to another. One person taking credit for the success to another. It started to give some slight explanation or story behind something and then it would just stop and jump to the next idea. It seems to have assumed that you know the story already and just want to watch famous people speak. I.

my last review was for the film All eyez on me. Which was a biopic of Tupac, a much better rapper then P. Diddy, but after seeing this so called "film" i have to put in the quote bracket, as it was more of an attempt at self marketing with a seriously bad script! and terrible actors then a movie. The time of great music biopics is over!
With films like 8 mile get rich or die trying, hustle and flow, notorious and N.W.A Straight outta of Compton, giving fans a great story telling with good cinematography while focusing and embracing the rap industry we have hit the bottom with this one.
Do yourself a favor and press skip, stop giving your money to producers who make terrible films. Stop supporting crap! go and rent one the films above and enjoy it. Otherwise you are only giving them more reason to make films ever worse.
