Bob the Builder: Mega Machines

My toddler loves cars and Bob the Builder. This movie is terrific- it's not too long, the voice acting (UK version) is great and has some great lessons gently illustrated about honesty, keeping your word, integrity and hard work.

There is a really poignant scene where Lofty goes to bat for one of the other machines and it's really touching. I won't spoil it, but I thought it was great, and I think he'll appreciate it especially as he gets older.

My son was a little startled by an explosion in the movie, but aside from that I don't think there is anything that might be 'disturbing'.

I love the longer theme song they play during a montage, and I like the lyrics about mixing concrete and stuff! The style is in line with the first two seasons of the reboot and not the later ones, where they had kind of slapstick sound effects and goofy dialogue.

A lot of haters here and for the series seem to be fans of the original and don't like the new models. If your kid is into trucks and building, I think they'll like it. There's nice music interspersed here and there too, it's just a high quality production. Give it a go with an open mind and I think you'll appreciate it.

Oh and how is the movie "Troy" like "Bob the Builder"? Seriously, scroll down to the "similar to" or whatever it's called and you'll see Troy and other "like" films!

The movie wasn't bad really it was just boring as all heck. The animation is good though despite not really resembling the original series. But overall a very boring movie only recommended if you need to put on something for bed or napttime.

Machines. Which are ALIVE. And SENTIENT.

A bit dark for a kid's film. O. O.

I know people will dislike it because it's in CGI and nowhere close to the original. Arc did a nice job making this special which is more than what I can say for the Fireman Sam: Alien Alert special. I really enjoyed the animation, the story was rather interesting, and there were some pretty intense moments that will def keep me coming back to it.
