This is a fun show (free on YouTube) that brings back the classics for modern appreciation. Anyone who criticizies this Addams family-like group deserves a visit from Tangella. In the middle of the night. And she deserves a show of her own. And a movie. And a comicbook. With Creature Features and The Last Drive-in, lonely horror fans have the opportunity to watch TV amongst a group of friends who are always there waiting for them to press play. Those two shows are solidifying the comradedy that one could usually find amongst the community of horror fans.
Why would anyone dislike this show? Modern audiences are just to jaded.

These kids are dynamically hilarious. They show really out of the way hidden gems when it comes to the horror genre. The films they select are the kind that I always describe as "that's not a good movie-but it's a great movie." What's also exceptional about them is the ungodly work they put into upscaling the picture quality. They take grainy scotch tape miserable looking originals and then render them in 6K. 6 MFKN K. So screw your 4K collectors editions. Set them on fire. Those pieces of trash hurt my eyes with their mediocrity next to the miracle workers they have redefining these films until youre swallowed whole by the experience for lyfe. They often take footage that was shot at 24 frames per second and instead of upping it to 60fps, which is commonly referred to as the "soap opera look" that tom cruise warned the entire world about when he delivered the most important announcement ever made from the urgency in his glittering psychopathic Clear AF eyes-instead, what these cryptic angels do is ramp things up to 450 fps. It's absolutely insane. Now go on YouTube, go to their free site and watch everything they have, and make sure you put your settings on 4K.
I stumbled upon Creature Features while looking for "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" on YouTube. What a delight to watch and listen to the banter between the three "stars" of this bizarre show. I was a fan immediately, especially of Tangella and Livingston. Anyone who dislikes this show is terminally unhip.
I don't expect much from a show like this, and neither should you. I get it he's playing a character, one that's British that can't keep his accent on for more than 10 seconds. I suppose you could say this is " amusing" because the other characters are almost funny, but it's not funny or scary. It doesn't even seem to be trying to be. They are just there taking up space that the movie doesn't to stretch this out to a 2 hour time slot. Now, SOME of the movies are good, most are not. SOME of the guests are interesting and worth having on but most are just filler. This one makes soap, that one makes steampunk things at conventions. Like most of the show , all of this is almost interesting. Overall, don't waste your time.
I only recently (sometime in the last year) ran across Creature Features. I found it on YouTube while also searching for old episodes of Thriller, The Twilight Zone, Alfred Hitchcock, and others. I immediately formed a virtual bond with all the denizens of the Haunted House in Bodega Bay, including Vincent, the classy butler Livingstone, Handrew, and the impish Tangella. They are all fairly shallow actors, but gee, compared to Elvira or Svenghoulie, they are way more endearing and entertaining. They all exude an air of understated humor and camraderie. You can't help but like them.
Then there are the nightly guests who frequent the showings of the movies. Some of these guests were actors in the movie of the night, some were directors, some authors, and some just hardcore horror movie fanatics like us. They often but not always add some interesting show trivia ir conversations, sometimes not. But they are almost always fun. And they engage in some hilarious banter with Vincent.
And even more, on top of that, we always get to watch a classic, often golden oldie, horror movie. Some of them you will have never heard of; others may be your favorites as a young kid. Regardless, you will have a great evening of weird, spooky entertainment.
