The Last of Us (parte II)

This is one of the best stories of any medium. It is reductionist to say this is a story about revenge, because it is only that in the most surface of ways. The subtext is rich with questions of moral relativity, perspective, growth vs deterioration, obsession, trauma, autonomy, choice, tribalism, etc...

It is not shock value if the shocking things hold meaning and builds character. The game takes place in a post apocalypse and the decisions the characters make are totally sensical given the confines of their world.

The game is better written than 98% of shows and films, and 100% better than any other game out there. Only the best filmmakers like bergman, kieslowski, haneke can write above this level and I doubt this games detractors even know these artists.

The game is relentlessly bleak, but it is purposeful. That being said, I understand how someone wouldn't enjoy this, but bleak plotting isn't automatically bad writing.

Like damn, this 30-hour game hasn't even been out for a day in most countries and y'all act like you finished it already

Story is not stupid. It is horribly sad. It develops around the theme of neverending violence, and how it destroys us in the end. A really needed perspective, a thing, that we all need to hear in todays world.

I have to say, that one of the best things is, that this story doesnt give a **** about you. It develops in its own way. Yes, at the end you might wish you didnt play it and just stick with ending of first part, but isn't it what life really is about? Us remebering the good old days? Horrified what might future do to us? And is it really up to us to stop that wheel of violence? Or are we just trapped inside its never ending cycle?

These and other thoughts I have during gameplay. So it is thought-provoking, which is great and beyond what ou expect from game story.

One star down for unnecessary double ending.

As for the graphics design, combat modes and atmosphere, it is totally fantastic. Totaly enjoyed it.

Well, sequel is great and was worth waiting. But I guess lots of people will think twice before wanting another sequel. But isn't it another great truth? Be happy with you have?

It was a pleasure to experience what TLOU series have created. The flow of emotions while we play through this Part 2 is enormous, its like a roller-coaster. The gameplay is so much better than the Last Part. The graphics is life like (even by 2025 standards).

Now lets talk about the story, many people like, many don't. I understand why some people may not have understood, its not a Happy ending with bittersweet feeling like Part 1, its way more complex.

The pacing, the character switches can be a bit frustrating at times, else its a perfectly written story with everything else perfect. Ellie goes all out in this Part to get what she wants only to realise its not worth it. The maturity which she gains at the end of this is what will carve the path to the next Part (Hopefully there will be a Part 3, probably the final chapter lets see).

I would recommend this game to everyone, they all should witness what Gaming actually is. They will know gaming is way way more than Button smashing. It can have stories better than 99% of the movies.

This game is absolutely stunning! So many people have gone into this game believing that they already hate it before even playing.

I REFUSED TO LOOK AT ANY LEAKS BEFORE PLAYING AND I LOVED IT!!

The story makes sense! Its true, its dark, realistic and its explores so many gritty and real themes. Like it says on the game case, it's a REVENGE story, not another cash-grab sequel. Everything that happens in the story happens for a REASON.

This game looks INCREDIBLE! I played this on the original PS4 and it shocked me how polished and beautiful it was. Definitely one of the best looking games out there.

The gameplay is very similar to the first game but feels quite a lot more polished. And the game is just so much more brutal than the last.

This game is already in the top 5 games on PS4 for me and I will always stand by that.
