A bit formulaic survival horror that entertains the premise of a tetraplegic teen trapped inside an isolated house under a great danger, that tries to make the most of a simplistic and hardly credible plot that would've worked better as a short film, where its suspense and its atmosphere would've been more convincing and disturbing, without the unnecessary tricks that its director has to resort to in order to lengthen the plot. It has a lot of reminiscences from many movies like Cujo (1983) or Monkey Shines (1988), for instance.

I see some over intelligent people here are calling this movie a bore and predictable. I guess they wanted some heavy dose 3 hour long drama. Don't believe the low ratings here this movie is worth your time. Has thrills from start, it's a survival movie and you will enjoy the ride.

The concept of the plot is a smart one, but unfortunately, nearly everything in the movie hinges on the fact that the protagonist is stupid. The struggles the main character must endure are mostly born from ill-conceived or rushed plans and a disability which swings wildly from moment to moment. In one scene she can barely lift her arm and in another she has a much broader range of motion which would have instantly trivialized or outright solved the problem before it. Beyond these obvious problems, the main character isn't particularly likeable. Her bad choices (including her barely explored and later, self-excused, backstory) are grating after about the third or fourth obvious plot-forwarding screw up. On top of all of this, without getting into spoiler territory, much of the setting just doesn't make sense. Why is the radio battery-powered when the house clearly has electricity? The doors are semi-handicap-accessible and stairs entirely rebuilt, but no effort was made for water access? Overall, this is worth a one-time watch if you're anxious for some middling horror, but don't expect any real thrills or frills from this film.

My biggest gripe is... that's supposed to be a support dog?! The dog has been trained in ways most aren't, to protect whomever it's supposed to protect and help. It's kind of annoying to see.

The claustrophobic feel is great, it's got some decent tension as well that builds nicely. The story obviously reminds me of Cujo but it is what it is, like most movies today, there's no originality. Still worth a watch though.

This Spanish genre film feels very derivative of Stephen King works like "Cujo" or "Silver Bullet" and movies like "Monkey Shines", but that wouldn't be a big problem for a horror film if it wasn't for the fact that this one is not actually very good. It's true that Paula del Río gives a good performance as the paralysed girl (a little annoying sometimes, I have to say), but the whole movie is formulaic, unexciting and shot without style; with just as many cheap tricks as you can imagine.
