Andy Lau is reprising the role of Lui Lok (aka Lee Rock) he previously played in Ng yee taam jeung Lui Lok juen: Lui lo foo (1991) and Ng yee taam jeung: Lui Lok juen - Part II (1991)

First collaboration between Donnie Yen and Jing Wong in 20 years.

Originally conceived in 2014 by Jing Wong, with the intention of Nick Cheung and Wai Keung Lau as lead actor and director respectively. But due to scheduling conflicts, the project was put aside.

Kenneth Tsang who played Master Dane appeared in To Be Number One (1991) as Chief Inspector Lui.
