I got the chance to see this movie at Live at Heart Film i Sweden 2017. I also got to meet Faraz Ansari who is the sweetest, loveliest man you could ever meet.
The move captured with me with it's silence when it tells the story of to men who first see each other on the train. With each passing day the get closer to one another, without saying a word.
The slow pacing and the underlying sadness really gets to you. I highly recommend taking every chance you get to se this film.

Well I am in 2024 watching this short film and thinking to myself, what a stupid life I have, stuck in the cage of civilisation. Ofter so many short love erupts and I have had those experiences through my life while travelling in public transport. I just obey the laws of attraction and the law that does not discriminate who a man should love.
Many missed opportunities to connect, many missed unspoken conversations the eyes catch up to. Beautiful movie that speaks volumes about two men just caught in the chemical nature of attraction and love.
My life would have been very different, when I see LGBTQIA+ being spoken widely today across the length and breadth of the world. Your efforts to portray pure true love is truly commendable and appreciate it. The anxiety, the sadness, the departure, the love, the attraction, the warmth, the tears of joy or just being in this world. Loved it!!

As the IMDB synopsis explains, this short film is the history of a wordless flirtation between two men over several days on a commuter train. Parts of it were impenetrable. We never understand the tears of the younger man that provoke a similar reaction in the older guy.
Over time, the two men get closer, physically, emotionally and intellectually via their wordless signalling on their transport. The ending for me, though, is pessimistic - for the first time, they alight at the same station but on opposite sides of the rails and on different platforms.
I enjoyed this. It sustained the interest despite the lack of dialogue.
