A barely sketched in story of a basically good person severely challenged by his ambitions and life situation. In the end the drama ends in an unsatisfying way.

I kept wondering when Val Kilmer was going to show up. The movie was boring and unsatisfying, with completely unlikable characters. Every moment left me uncomfortably frustrated. The pacing drags endlessly, making even the shortest scenes feel stretched beyond reason. The dialogue is lifeless, the plot meanders without direction, and there's no emotional core to latch onto. It feels as if the filmmakers themselves had no idea what they were trying to say. The whole thing is a hollow, meaningless slog that somehow made it from script to screen without anyone stopping to ask, "Why?" Next time I will make sure I am watching my intended film.

Director: Michael Stevantoni and Writers: Michael Stevantoni and Tim Rousseau have created a nice gem of a story put to film.
Brian and Ramona have what appears to be a quite life with a charming child. But still waters run deep and a rift between them causes concern for their future and dreams. The Salton Sea becomes a symbolic picture of their current relationship. Can it be saved?
The story, dialog, and acting is believable and spot on for each character. The ending was a bit odd for me.
