A Cindrella Story: If the Shoe Fits isn't a great movie, but it isn't a horrible one either. The plot recycles a lot of material we've already seen. However, it's not unexpected in this type of movie. If you like the other films in the series, you'll probably enjoy this one as well. The actors did an okay job given the material. Overall, this film was cheesy and cute, just like previous installments.

Half of the movie is great: the singing, dancing, Georgie and the 2 leads.
The other half is... Yes, they had to be evil but this is just too much.
Like somebody said: fastforward the parts with the stepmother and sisters and enjoy half the movie.
Too bad.

Just as you have guessed there is yet another direct movie based on I'm a sucker for any well done Cinderella flick. Okay, my first shock was an unrecognizable Jennifer Tilly. Once I accepted the fact that she is comfortable, at age 58 or so, with her current persona I was fine with it. After all, she's playing a wicket step mother, right? The step sisters were a hoot. The fact that we have a Cinderella play within the Cinderella movie was also a nice twist. Sofia Carson playing step daughter Tessa did a fine job, especially when singing. Fun cast, madcap finale and some really awesome musical numbers plus pretty good dancing made this a Cinderella fun feast. The make-up artist friend to Bella was also right on the mark. Musical, madcap Cinderella and crew did well. Oh, Prince charming, a current teen heart throb in the play within the play also did a fine job. Fun all around.

Not true this one is a mess and the songs are all blah nothing to remember!! The guy im sorry is flat and boring no , no chemistry between the 2 main leads, the female lead sounds like Minnie mouse but more childishly!! Truly awful giving it a 4 because my daughter and i got mom and me time out of it

I loved the fact that Tessa/Bella was a woman mechanic and a pretty one too! I wish I had gotten some 'grease' education as well because then I might be able to troubleshoot and fix lots of my family's deadbeat cars. Maybe it's not too late to learn, but then I wonder how my nails would ever survive their femininity. I did help change the breaks on my very first car, but that was years ago and I doubt I could do it again all by myself. A woman can imagine though! So, back to the movie, I thought it was good. I would watch it again because the ending was a bit distracted when my family came home. It's a plain, cute, family film with not a lot of depth to it. I thought it was a Disney made-for-TV movie, but I looked and it was Warner Brothers and I watched it on the Freeform channel. I'd rather watch this than a low-budget B-rated movie that just makes no sense why it was put on film. At least it's a fantasy. Solid 6 star rating from me!

The actors were the ones actually singing
All the actresses did a good job with their parts, the main guy actor was not a very good actor, but it is obvious he is more important as eye candy
You can tell the 'evil step sisters' got a kick out of their roles
The drama was not over the top
My wife and I enjoyed watching this on Tubi.

The past few movies in this franchise have had good acting, story lines, (and music in the last two). This story follows none of what made the other Cinderella movies like able. As much as I want to love Sofia Carson I can't do it because of this movie. Her character is supposed to exude emotions other than smiling and she doesn't deliver as well as her predecessors have. From the moment it begins, the movie's story doesn't go in a cohesive order that allows for a fluid telling. The upside though, is that the step sisters make up for the lack of solid story line with their laughable antics. I was saddened to go into this movie with high hopes and be given something that makes the franchise fall apart. I will watch the past three movies with a newfound love for Disney stars that were able to truly act. I hope the next ones work out better than this.

i have always been a fan of the Cinderella franchise. i find the story line of this movie wonderful.it is beautifully explained with a great ending which made me want to start dancing.this movie contains some parts of all the past Cinderella movies which i find great.the actors playing the characters i would say were made for the roles.the musical aspects of this movie are great and the singing is spectacular all on key and none off tune.the movie ended with all things resolved and nothing to keep you wondering what happened which i find great.this is a fabulous movie to watch with your kids, there are no inappropriate scenes in this movie so i give this movie if it would let me a 12

I didn't really plan on watching yet another Cinderella remake and certainly not if it was going to be yet again a cheesy comedy for kids with insipid songs everywhere, but I had a bag of pop corn, so...
Whatever, I thought about dropping that movie many times during the first whole HOUR , till the fun at last really started and I found myself glued to the screen. Then between two particularly funny scenes I realized the only actors really catching the attention of the viewers weren't the principal ones. Jazzara Jaslyn (I had no idea she was such a beauty under all that horrible make up!) in particular looked so dejected at times that I started to chase her from scene to scene, till her mother too joined the party with a onslaught of hilariously hysterical antics that had me in tears. At that point, I couldn't care less about whatever was going to happen to the boring Cinderella and her even more boring copied-and-pasted prince.
Would rewatch, but only the scenes with the Stepmothers and her two ridiculous but curiously endearing daughters.

If only the didn't make the quite similar storyline with the 2nd and 3rd films, I mean i prefer this than the second one but i kinda dissapointed. Sofia is really great in here tho, her singing, dance and her fake accent lol. And the step mother is actually the funniest between all the step mothers in cinderella movies.

There's something so eternal about Cinderella that it never loses its appeal no matter how many Gazillion versions of the story are made. Even if you just count all the ones that come from the Magic Kingdom.
Sofia Carson the latest of a long line of fresh girl pop singers from the Disney Studios is a sweet and charming Cinderella, in her case a girl named Tessa. She may not have a fairy godmother here, but she knows an opportunity when she sees it. Now if she can only avoid that evil stepmother who of course favors her own children.
The opportunity to be in a music video with British pop star Thomas Law as a modern day motorcycle riding Prince Charming. Better than a white charger. He's quite the hunk himself and might be destined for Disney bubblegum stardom.
Stepmother is Jennifer Tilly who literally smothers the screen with her off the wall performance with the name of Divine. I think if the late drag performer Divine from Lust In The Dust would probably chuckle a bit.
And I'm sure there are still more variations of the story of the girl from the cinders coming. At least from the Magic Kingdom. This one will most definitely do.

Just like the headline says she was the worst part of the movie. She was so freaking annoying and overdramatic. She cannot act to save her life. Sofia Carson did a wonderful job as usual. I just love her singing voice and she's so pretty. This is a different take on a Cinderella story and I thoroughly enjoyed it besides Jennifer, as the evil stepmother. They should've casted someone else.
I took off a few stars just for her other than that great movie.
The other actors did a good job as well. I like the male lead. He did good too.
I watched this movie twice already. It is a good watch. If you can get past Jennifer's acting then you'll be fine.

I watched it because I've seen the other three in the series of the present-day adaptations of the classical Cinderella story. After Hilary Duff, Selena Gomez and Lucy Hale, not its time for Sofia Carson. One of the most famous fairy tales of all and the most adapted to the screen as well. That's the negative of this, though being a different version, like the timeline, setting, cast makes it watchable. But still not the best you could anticipate. The lowest one in the series and a warning bell to stop from going for more films in the series.
I need not to say anything about the story, it was just altered tale of what you know very well. Except there's no magic. As well as no logic to the actual world. Those disguised scenes were very silly. Simply a timepass film and no more. All the actors were decent. The songs were too. It was made by a choreographer turned director as his first feature film. Not an ideal project for his kind of field of expertise. He could have turned it to full fledged musical, but he didn't. Anyway, some people would enjoy it, particularly the young girls. So, I won't favout it, unless desperate to see it.

I'm a sucker for ALL Cinderella adaptations. The Hillary Duff, Selena Gomez, and Lucy Hale versions are adorable, but all have step families that are so over dramatic. Well, If The Shoe Fits is actually WORSE than the others! Jennifer Tilley plays the stepmom and she honestly made me want to stop watching! From seeing this performance, she'd be better off doing comedic burlesque routines instead. Luckily, Tessa, aka Cinderella, and her prince, Reed, were so great in their roles that I kept going. I like how Reed falls for who Tessa really is and not the stage version. Watch the movie and you'll see what I mean. I also enjoyed the music, even though there was quite a bit of auto tune. The girl who plays Tessa sounds a little like Demi Lovato when she sings. Her voice isn't quite as raspy and she hits higher notes though. I tend to compare all Cinderella stories to Drew Barrymore's Ever After. So far, none have come close to being as good. But as a fluffy adaptation, If the Shoe Fits is worth a watch, solely for Tessa and Reed. Just turn down the volume when the step family is on the screen.

This is mostly a star vehicle for the two young lead performers, particularly the female lead. They are quite good musical performers and that is the only thing worth watching in this low budget musical. The boilerplate around them is cartoonish or worse. Just skip it.
Finger on the fast forward. Enjoy the music and dancing.

This is kind of different from the other installtments of Cinderella Story.
The evil stepmother is exhilarating, not as "evil" as the other films, I really laughed at most of her exaggerations, those were really funny and comedic, in their own silly way.
Sofia Carson, on the other hand, does a great job, as usual, we all know her.
She's got a great attitude and delivers some real feelings with her particular voice and her gorgeus dance moves and backstory.
Also, the chemistry with her and the loved one is palpable and sincere, which is never forgone, in minor romantic comedy music flicks.
You have to take movies like these as they are and enjoy them for WHAT they are, even if not a masterpiece. So, it's not a 10 out of 10 but it's nice and light, nevertheless. I give it a 6.

The 3rd in this series and it's a perfectly fine modern take on the Cinderella storyline.
Credit to whoever has to keep coming up with these new twists on the old story, this franchise seems to be running and running.
Yes, it's a bit cheesy, but it's all good fun.
