In 2016 it was announced that Alicia Vikander and her then London-based agent Charles Collier had launched VIKARIOUS FILM LIMITED and VIKARIOUS PRODUCTIONS LIMITED. The first feature for the company was set to be this film, directed by Langseth and featuring Vikander and Green in the lead roles as sisters. On 22 April 2025 the status of VIKARIOUS PRODUCTIONS LIMITED Company number 09779419 DISOLVED. Euphoria is VIKARIOUS FILM's only feature film produced. After Termination of appointment of Charles Richard Veasy Collier as a director on 9 December 2024, VIKARIOUS FILM LIMITED remains active.

Principal photography began in early August 2016 in Munich, before moving to the German Alps.
