While Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming Ramayan has already created massive buzz in Bollywood, now a new, unexpected version of the epic has taken the internet by storm—an AI-generated Hindi anime-style trailer of Ramayana.
Released recently, this trailer has left fans shocked and intrigued. The unique aspect? It’s not your usual live-action mythological project—it’s an anime-style adaptation, built entirely using artificial intelligence tools. And despite its short length, the trailer is garnering a lot of attention for its bold creativity.
Anime Meets Indian Mythology
Unlike previous adaptations, this AI Ramayana reimagines the story in a format inspired by Japanese anime. Characters like Lord Ram, Sita, Ravan, and Hanuman are shown in stylized animation, with intense background music and dramatic visuals. The storytelling leans heavily into emotion, action, and traditional themes—but with a futuristic twist.

The star of the ABC's sitcom Roseanne, Roseanne Barr, was fired from the sitcom after the controversial remakes she made on social media. Seven years after her firing, Barr not only does she still support her comments, but went on to drag other people again, including J.K. Rowling.
The latter is the author of the bestselling fantasy series Harry Potter, which was adapted into eight films between 2001 and 2011, and has a new TV series in the works. However, Rowling is also persona non grata over her controversial views on the transgender community. While the two received similar backlash from the LGBTQ+ community, Barr highlighted to Variety that this didn't bring them together and had harsh words not just for her, but also for Disney boss Bob Iger.
In the interview, Barr also blasted Roseanne revival writers, calling them "racist" and "stupid." She explained, "I was already having nightmares about never going back to that show,...

Image Source: Warner Bros We cinephiles often find ourselves drawn to the forgotten corners of cinema—films that were overlooked at the time or have simply slipped through the cracks of memory. Over his more than forty-year career, Academy Award nominee Michael Keaton has carved out a remarkable path across genres. From the eccentric charm of Beetlejuice, Night Shift, and Mr. Mom, to the brooding gravitas of Batman and Batman Returns, to tender performances in Speechless and My Life, and the sharp, layered brilliance of Birdman, Keaton has never settled into one mold. He has also taken on risky roles, playing villains that range from the unapologetically sinister to the morally ambiguous. Each portrayal is marked by a compelling nuance. Carter Hayes in 1990s Pacific Heights is one of his most overlooked yet haunting roles. A quiet psychological thriller, it has Keaton channeling a different kind of menace: cold, patient,...

Any television lover will tell you that there’s just something special about cast-directed episodes. While it’s no easy feat, and not necessarily a job for every actor, seeing a show through the eyes of someone who’s on it every day often feels like a treat. Earlier this year, Ghostsfans were treated to a delightful episode helmed by series lead Rose McIver, a longtime goal for the actress finally realized. When I spoke to her for that episode, she admitted that she’d given quite a few of her co-stars the itch to get behind the camera, in one way or another, themselves. Often capturing a plethora of behind-the-scenes content, Román Zaragoza told me last week he’d jump at the opportunity to direct, and back in March, Danielle Pinnock told me she’s writing a spec script while they’re on hiatus.

ABC’s Tgif programming block had viewers hoping for Friday nights to watch their favorite sitcom.
Over the years, many people believed the acronym stood for “Thank God It’s Friday.” However, in a new interview, Jim Janicek, who help create the programming block, clarified that the letters stood for “Thank Goodness It’s Funny.”
“We were talking about things like the ‘Friday Fun Club,'” Janicek said on Pod Meets World about the names they considered before Tgif. “There’s a whole list somewhere I probably could dig up, but I remember that one. You know, ‘It’s Friday Night.’ Lots of little short-isms.”
Janicek recalled that the network’s executives were initially worried that using Tgif would cause problems with a chain of restaurants.
“We did our first animation, which kinda was more childlike, with a little mouse called Friday the Mouse. We were animating that with a guy...

He joins fellow former cast members Kevin Sussman (Stuart Bloom), Brian Posehn (Bert Kibbler), and Lauren Lapkus (Denise), all of whom have signed talent-holding deals with Warner Bros. In the long lineage of badass super-smart feminist women in cinema, Geena Davis is one of the greatest. She's weathered a long career in Hollywood, which can be hazardous for women (especially as they age), and has still come out on top. With her recent appearance as Stacy in Zoë Kravitz's ferocious directorial debut "Blink Twice," Davis has reminded us all that she's one of the best to ever do it, bringing some unnerving levity to the film's deeply claustrophobic tone. She can tell an entire story just with her eyes and is an incredible performer, but for many years she was all but absent from the silver screen. So, what happened? How did one of Hollywood's biggest stars just sort of disappear from the limelight for nearly two decades, only appearing in the occasional small movie role or on an ill-fated television series?

Quick Links Michael Keaton's Mainstream Roles Begin to Dry Up The Hollywood Satire in Michael Keaton's Birdman Birdman Led to Critical and Box Office Success for Michael Keaton
According to a recent interview, Michael Keaton doesn't like to call his turn in 2014's satirical comedy Birdman a comeback, but there is no denying the total career resurgence that the actor experienced once the film was released. The performance led to Keaton's first Academy Award nomination, and after seeing some of his more major roles subside before that, he began popping up in mainstream and prestige projects that solidified his place in the industry.
The comeback label may not be something that Keaton asked for, but given the film's subject matter and how much more the actor began appearing on the big screen, Birdman certainly boosted his career.

There is one problem with the lively new James Carville documentary, Carville: Winning Is Everything, Stupid, premiering at Telluride: For much of the film, Carville worries about the dangers of having Joe Biden as the Democratic presidential candidate.
Obviously, the movie (which was acquired by CNN Films) was conceived and filmed before Biden dropped out of the race. During the last year, long before the June debate with Trump, Carville was deeply concerned that Biden’s presence on the ballot could cost the Democrats the election. That all changed on July 21st, when Biden dropped out. But by then, the film was close to completion. A brief end title reports the news of Harris’ ascension, yet the film still seems skewed.
Nevertheless, it provides some great background on Carville and certainly convinces us that he is one of the most colorful figures on the scene today — and still making noise.

Many Eyes, the new band formed by ex-Every Time I Die singer Keith Buckley, have announced their debut album, The Light Age, out September 6th. The single “Harbinger” can be heard now.
Continuing where he left off in Every Time I Die, Buckley helms a ferocious brand of metalcore in his new band, and “Harbinger” is perhaps the most aggro track from the group to date. A relentless beatdown of thrash riffs and sharp leads echoes the throat shredding screams of Buckley, who sounds as desperate as ever here.

The streamer has ordered The Undervale from creator and showrunner Matt Roller, a former writer for the Adult Swim mainstay and current co-executive producer of Fox’s Krapopolis. Rick and Morty co-creator Dan Harmon and executive producer Steve Levy are also exec producing, along with Spider-Man: No Way Home writer Chris McKenna. Erica Hayes, also a Rick and Morty alum, will be supervising director on The Undervale.
“The Undervale is wildly inventive and I’m very grateful to Matt, Chris, Dan and their team for bringing their talents to Netflix,” said Billy Wee, director of adult animation at Netflix. “They are phenomenal collaborators, and I can’t wait for fans all over the world to experience this hilarious show.”

For the first time ever, there was a “double chair” twist on “The Voice” in Spring 2024 as a coaching duo sat on the panel together: country pop stars Dan + Shay. These three-time Grammy winners for “Tequila,” “Speechless” and “10,000 Hours” had a history with the program as they previously performed on the live shows in Seasons 15 and 19, served as Blake Shelton‘s battle advisors in Season 20, and filled in for an absent Niall Horan during the Season 24 knockouts. Now that the Season 25 blind auditions, battles and knockouts have wrapped up, can Dan + Shay prevail for the first time on NBC’s reality TV show?

A decade into her solo career, Beyoncé effectively evaded irrelevancy by wresting control of her own narrative. After her 2011 album 4 failed to produce a Top 10 hit—to date, her only album to do so—the singer began dropping albums without any pre-release promotion, sidestepping chart expectations and reimagining the traditional pop album release strategy. Since then, she’s done few interviews and often glides into awards shows donning dark shades and a straight face, shrewdly creating a superstar mystique in the vein of Michael Jackson and Prince.
That approach, thankfully, has been accompanied by some of Beyoncé’s most creative, political, and inspired work to date. Her 2016 visual album Lemonade drew on her personal experiences as a Black woman to comment on feminism and racism in the Me Too and Black Lives Matter era, while its follow-up, 2022’s Renaissance, kept the focus squarely on the music, inspired by and dedicated...

Minnie Driver claims producers for 1998’s Hard Rain told her she couldn’t wear a wetsuit because “they wanted to see my nipples.”
The Good Will Hunting actress said on Mondays’ episode of the I Weigh With Jameela Jamil podcast that she was made to feel like “an idiot” when she pushed back on a costume decision for the disaster action thriller, despite filming in “20 million gallons of water.”
“It’s set during this massive storm,” she explained. “There were huge rain machines. We shot crazy hours. It was tough…. Everybody else could wear a wetsuit underneath their costume, and I was told by the producers that I couldn’t because they wanted to see my nipples, and that there was no point in having the wet T-shirt if you couldn’t have what was underneath it.”
