A lot of great things about this show were wasted by the format. The art was top notch.
Best animated version of Supergirl I've ever seen.
Really wanted to see more. The opening credits were awful and that noise it makes as soon as the show begins was painful for my ears and speakers. Great appearances by characters like Deadshot and Lobo. Really just failed by making the episodes so short. You can't build any suspense or mood in 11 minute segments. Then again, they weren't really going for that; which is another issue the show had. Balancing comedy and story is tricky.
Deserved another season or two. Could've been something special.

Disclaimer: I love this show. I love the characters and the universe and children's cartoons so you won't have me raving on how bad this show is... because it's not.
1. It's extremely funny in a decent way (unlike some other shows on cartoon network COUGHteentiansgoCOUGH). It has just the right amount of hilarity to action, and don't even get me started on Firestorm.
2. The characters are really great, but you probably should have some understanding of the DC universe. Batman is pretty much Batman the Animated Series Batman (Episodes: Time Share and Rage of the Red Lanterns) and Superman is really the boy scout that I personally love. He's not just powerful and he doesn't have a god-like detachment and seriousness. He's funny, light-hearted, and ready for action. Wonder Woman is great. She's pretty much a mix between Batman and Superman but is an incredible character all her own. (Episode: The Trouble With Truth) I love love love the junior justice leaguers Stargirl, Firestorm, and Blue Beetle. (Episode: Field Trip (Firestorm: Freezer Burn & Nuclear Family Values, Stargirl: Supernatural adventures in babysitting, Blue Beetle: Time Share)) They're inexperienced but ready to learn and make jokes along the way! In the show, many characters that you wouldn't know about as a casual fan pop up. Plastic Man, Booster Gold, Constantine, and Space Cabbie are just a few of many excellent characters in both comedy and contribution to a larger universe. This show made me appreciate Green Arrow (Episode: Booster's Gold) and has many tie-ins to classic Silver Age justice league comics (Episode: Abate and Switch (They swap costumes))
3.THE ANIMATION. The style and smoothness of the animation is the retro-classic-adventure that I personally love soooooooo much. When characters move swiftly, they are portrayed as a blur (a lot cooler than it sounds) so it looks fast and fluid. It's colorful in a good way and the backgrounds are really nice. I like the "poses" they sometimes do and it shows some character's powers in a really neat way. (Vixen especially, Episode: Garden of Evil)
4. Voice acting. I've heard bad voice acting. This is AMAZING voice acting. Also, Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill. Need I say more?
I could probably go on for ages about Shazam, Flash, Plastic Man, Green Arrow, Zatanna, Swamp Thing, Green Lantern, Supergirl, Streaky and Krypto, Mr. Mxyzptlk, Riddler, Jonah Hex, Harley Quinn, and I'm ranting again. I really hope that if you're into comics, you'll at least try this excellent show.

There are a lot of really good things about this show, but the one aspect that stands out most to me is just how good the Action actually is! It seems like every episode has a chase or fight that constantly leave me saying "Oh man, that was so cool!". Seriously, the fight choreography is wonderful, especially for the super-powered hand-to-hand, which WB Animation has proved time and time again that they've really got down pat.
The only thing that keeps the show from being perfect is the writing. The writing bad by any means, though. In fact, most of the episodes have very interesting plot lines, but I feel that the show often lacks the time to focus on characters, and Episodes that do focus on the character interactions will be hit-and-miss depending on your tastes in dialogue. Understandable though, given the 11 minute run period. But the potential is there for two- part finales, like seen with Batman: Brave And The Bold!
All in all, incredibly pleased with the series. If you follow DC's wonderful history in animation, this show is the next big step in the staircase.

I used to watch a lot of the superhero animated series in the '90s, but haven't seen any for a while. I'd heard this one was good so I thought I'd take a look, but the first episode lost me immediately.
I don't love the art style, but I could live with it. What I couldn't deal with was the manic pace. The series is pure action with virtually no time spent on story or character. The show starts with a fight, soon there's an explosion, more fighting, a little explanation, some more fighting.
The series from the '90s like Batman the Animated Series and X-Men had characters, stories, a point of view.
This show might be fine if you're a kid - I haven't been a kid since the '70s so I can't speak to that - but this series doesn't not give me much hope for the current state of TV kids cartoons.

Justice league action is like time traveling back to the early 2000s Cartoon Network, very similar animations to DC cartoons from that era, because they don't use that animation style anymore.
Is it good?, well yes, from a person who has watched Cartoon Network since 1999, its very decent.
But it needs be aired more often because it only gets aired when Cartoon Network has the Action weekend thing.
My rating of it is a 8.9/10 its one of the stronger programs on Cartoon Network right now next to Regular Show.

- TriviaActors Mark Hamill (Joker) and Kevin Conroy (Batman) have both played these characters for over 25 years. Both actors have repeatedly said that they were "retired" from voicing the characters. Hamill has said that while he enjoyed every minute of being the Joker, the years of voice work had put a huge strain on his voice and that someone else should have the opportunity to "don the psychopathic clown". Both Hamill and Conroy have stated that at their age the repetitive nature of the characters had become tiring. Both did say if there were ever a great story to reprise each character, they'd return. In addition to this series each returned for Batman: Arkham Knight and the animated film, Batman: The Killing Joke.
