Cops & Robbers (2015)
*** 1/2 (out of 4)
Entertaining fifteen-minute interview with Dennis Fanning who worked on the film COLORS as the technical adviser. Faning starts off talking about his family's history in the police and then he talks about why he became a cop. He talks about his life in the police force and then moves onto how he got involved with the film COLORS. From here we learn some terrific stories about him working with and training Sean Penn and we also get some terrific stories about Dennis Hopper. Fans of the film will certainly enjoy hearing all of these behind-the-scenes stories and there are some great ones here. A lot of the running time has Fanning talking about some real issues out there and how drugs and gangs have ruined some communities. He also talks about the personal effect all the violence has on the cops who see it.
