Don't just walk to your TV, RUN and watch MOVING PARTS! Harley Wallen does it again with assistance from Jerry Hayes and Nancy Oeswein. A true thriller with more twists and turns than 20 miles of bad road! Acting, superb! Plot, magnificent! Sound and editing, top notch! Don't be the only person at the pub NOT talking about this film. Shout out to everyone involved. As an actor I can only dream of being part of something like this! As a movie aficionado thank you, guys. You made my night!
Indy films have to be criticised in a more gentle manner than Hollywood flicks because they don't have the money or stars backing them. So, when I began watching this film, I kept that in mind. However, the acting was so stiff and the dialogue halting and unnatural that I couldn't keep my point of view in the positive range. This movie lacks continuity and makes little sense about the relationships of its actors to one another. The fight scenes in the first 10 minutes are unconvincing with camera cuts to avoid any sort of convincing acting. As well, the actors playing the men on the bridge fight scene were SO unbelievable, especially the one of the man whose wife's fidelity was being questioned. I could say more, but I won't. The cinematography was nicely done, with good lighting and nicely staged scenes.
This movie was a mess! Poorly paced...The cinematography and the way it was directed was so confusing it lost whatever story was trying to be told- which I still don't know what that was!
Im tired of these "Awards Factories" that allow people to pay to win and use their laurels for promotional purposes when they aren't even real film festivals! Cause it baits people into watching movies like these thinking they must be good.
I really enjoyed the story with its multiple subplots that come together with a few good twists and many good performances. It's not a Hollywood big budget film. But I do recommend this film, as this was a good enjoyable low budget independent film.
I just watched Moving Parts on Amazon and it was the quirky poster that drew me in and I must say I am happy I did.
This film has a retro fresh feel and what I loved the most was the plot twists!
It's the kind of movie you need to put your phone way while you watch or you'll quickly get lost.
I love these kind of movies where you just don't know what's going to happen!

- TriviaDid you know there were several directors interviewed and considered before the decision to go with co-directors Harley & Jerry.
