Amazon Obhijaan,The Sequel To the Path breaking Movie "Chander Pahar"Gets Destinction marks at almost every category.Every Bengali must feel proud about this Visually Perfect Movie. The Director Surely Deserves a standing Ovation for providing such a Beautiful Visual Extravaganza.ne cannot blink For a Second as the visuals are so eye soothing. The Camera Work of The film is very Brilliant.Dev has reprised The role of Shankar,to perfection.David James has also done his job well, but still his acting seems slightly as a drama one.The debutant Svetlana has done her job well. The weak link of this movie is VFX,which is evident while seeing different animals..Otherwise The Movie is quite Classy.DOP,Editing,Cinematography,Art Direction All works are brilliant.Wishing all the Cast and Crew My Love for Providing Such a Brilliant Film.Kudos...
The quality of CGI looks very poor, a very childish acting or overacting (not natural) by the major characters. Waste of time.
Bad script, bad acting, complete non sense.
Director used El doredo as if they were his grandmother
You would not find anything good even if you search with microscope
Totally wasted my time.... Poor acting and storytelling no destination at all... Stop making these kind of silly adventure movies. It could be better if cast is different specially the lead actor who played the role of a "Wood" in the movie
To all those who have a problem with the release of Padmavati, you need to chill - if we can allow something as historically, geographically and technically inaccurate as Amazon Obhijaan to release peacefully, you too can learn to be tolerant.
Amazon Obhijaan is hands down one of the worst films I have seen this year. I'm not going to hold back here, it was terrible. There is absolutely no redeeming factor for this film. I refuse to understand why filmmakers continue to cast Dev, because, let's face it, we cannot allow this kind of terrible dialogue delivery into our lives. This film was multilingual in places, yet nobody can speak even one language correctly. And whoever wrote the dialogues, you need to stop using those quotes fuelled by morality - "We all need to look at the past to look at future", "Alcohol is the choice of (sic) defeated man" - because you are a TERRIBLE writer to have even committed sacrilege with what is probably an 11 year old's Moral Science textbook. The CGI was so bad - I don't think a 40 feet anaconda crawling through the grass is supposed to incite laughter in the audience. This is a period film with zero attention to detail about the period it is talking about. The acting would have been more suitable in a stage production. There is no SUBTLETY in any aspect of this film, my God. The El Dorado myth has been chopped into pieces like some sort of mixed salad, and the piece of gold they show in the end? Yeah, I have craft paper in that texture. There was honestly no reason to make this film.
Anybody who found this to be good cinema - you're entitled to your own opinions, certainly, but you need to experience some real cinema. I'm sure a large section of the audience will enjoy it and all, and people are calling it a 'milestone' in Bengali cinema - but I've seen some brilliant Bengali films this year, and this was not it. Not even with all the sparkle - nope, there was no gold.
I am sure Pizarro, Orellana and Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay are regretful of having provided the basis for this story.
