Prairie Gals

Once you get past the novel western concept a video like this is made or broken on it's nude female visuals. As another reviewer already stated 'Prairie Girls' is terminally slow and extremely tame for the majority of it's runtime. I was initially interested because of the unique motif. Had modest hopes due to a decent montage intro and Chasey Lain strolling into a tiny backwater town on horseback boobs bouncing naked in the saddle, but it was all downhill from there.

It's that intro (2.5 mins) before Chasey riding then a long drawn out game of strip poker from the rest of the ladies featured here outside. Eventually all topless, but it takes forever and only a brief shot of Chasey dismounting, tying up her horse shows off her butt in a thong and chaps (9 mins). Showdown between Chasey dressed in black smoking a cigar and one of the other ladies decked out in white leads to this long stare down that jumps between them and back to the poker. Those ladies get down to panties and then those go with a lively rock track. One spicy kitty shot in the mix (9 mins).

We cut between two ladies (one in a windowsill, one street level slowly getting naked) and more of the same showdown from earlier. You get one rubbing her boobs, butt on a block of ice then Chasey and her pal finally get fully naked, but there isn't any real focus downstairs. As you probably guessed it remains super slow (10 mins). A blonde emerges from a house with no bottoms on and slowly gets down to nothing. Eats a banana, feels herself. Cuts to a campfire at night where two slowly undress each other. We go back and forth between these two scenes, but nothing hot to make worth describing (18 mins). For a finale it's back to the Chasey stare down (3 mins).

'Prairie Girls' might get a curiosity view from you like it did for me, but there are no high points. It is another example of a low level softcore title from a small player in the 90's home video market. The camera work and production values aren't bad, but the visuals don't cut it. It's way too slow. Way too much of a tease.

This worthless video dares to showcase hardcore porn actresses, top names including Chasey Lain and Taylor Hayes, posing nude in sort of Western Movie cosplay -no sex, just nudity. It's about as boring as could be, sort of resembling those endless Playboy videos produced in the 1980s and 1990s as softcore fare, sometimes designed as music videos to spotlight a Playmate of the month (memorably including the famous Michael Bay-directed Kerri Kendall video before his movie career commenced).

"Prairie Gals" has been classified as Adult genre for years, but that's totally bogus.

I kept waiting for something to happen, but no such luck. With the great Veronica Hart offering some voice-over, the MOS shoot has no background sound, just tepid music as Chasey Lain rides into a Texas town where four gals are playing strip poker outdoors. Chasey almost has a gunfight with a tall, butch beauty, but they barely touch, merely threatening each other with phallic hand guns.

A couple of other girls roast marshmallows at night by a campfire, also barely touching. Lastly a blonde poses nude with cowboy hat and guitar. Nothing happens in this prairie town.

Final insult is the padding of endless crew credits at the end, which rarely any hardcore porn feature ever gets. Producer is a porn great, Nick Orleans, but he delivers zilch in the world of softcore, barely a soft-R rating for full frontal nudity.
