Cast too good for this disaster of a movie

There is nothing whatsoever wrong with the premise. A modern take on a mythical tale.

However literally everything is wrong with the movie. The script is just so unbelievably bad that it beggars belief and the direction is horrible.

To be fair the cast aren't too bad and do what they can with what they're given, but it's just not enough.

Brendan Gleeson, Barry Ward, Ruth Bradley - all incredibly decent actors and all far too good for this movie.

Gráinne's request for Diarmuid to keep driving West is a subtle reference to other films based on Irish mythology such as El viaje mágico (1992) and Song of the Sea (2014) where characters also travel West on a quest.
