There are many Asian medical shows out there that are more interesting The main theme here seems repetitive. Different scenarios of pregnant women in crisis are addressed in each show. It feels like they're really trying to tear at your heart strings but it sometimes feels over the top and too much. Sometimes the stories feel like public service announcements. What are the options when a child needs to be adopted? What are the decisions to be made whether to abort or not abort?
There's not a whole lot of charisma from the main character and I did not find him very interesting. His philosophy of caring is very admirable but it is often him lecturing his young protégé, Dr. Shimoya.
Dr. Shimoya as a character can be very grating. She is shocked and surprised at every turn. She spends a lot of time being bewildered. Did she actually attend medical school? It's hard to believe. Often times it's like she has never gone through the delivery process before. She's challenged by every pregnant woman that walks into the hospital.
Although I loved Gen Hoshino in We Married as a Job, he comes off rather stiff here. I need to see more of him in other things, I suppose.
These are all my first impressions as having watched the first five episodes. I am not sure I will stick with this.

I really liked it, good acting, nice to see how other cultures handle things...but emotionally draining, a new case or two during every episode. I call it an emotional roller coaster! The musical aspect was very interesting, added to soothing touch I suppose.
One thing I would have liked other than the bromance would have been a little romance for the male lead. I guess they just wanted to focus on the maternity cases and nothing else. It really did that for sure. Don't suppose there will be a season three? It was done a while ago. I gave it a 10, well done and entertaining! I highly recommend it, just keep a box of tissues near by!
