Love, love love this show! Of course I'm teary eyed after every episode. It's so refreshing to see such good people putting animals well being first & not turning them away. Being a widow, I wish there were more single men like Dr Jeff & too bad he's married. It's amazing to see how the staff interacts with all the animals, I feel like I'm right there with them. You see so many different animals & what goes on between all of the staff & how they handle the unique situations. Dr Jeff is so dedicated to the animals by putting them first & going out of his way to the different areas away from his town to treat them & doing what has to be done for the health of the animals. Such a dedicated doctor with a heart of gold. If I miss a series, I make sure I watch it On Demand. I am so happy that I found this show & will continue to watch it. I've spread the word around here & know others will be watching. Thanks to Dr Jeff & all his wonderful staff for all the love & kindness they give to our furry friends.

Dr. Jeff and his staff are caring, kind-hearted miracle workers - that aren't out to fleece pet owners! They love and care for all animals that cross their paths, with the animals being their top priority (instead of what the owners think needs to be done). I would love to clone him and his staff and have them move to SC! We have no vet that is more concerned about providing excellent care to animals than getting as much money as possible. As everyone knows, pet owners with limited funds limit trips to the vet as much as possible. When faced with astronomical pet expenses to get them better, some people are left with either none or very limited choices. Dr. Jeff knows this and cuts his profit (does he make any?) so the pets get the best care at the best price! I am amazed at the surgery, the care, the love and how they all go above and beyond what is expected! Every show teaches me more things about animals! Dr. Jeff (and staff) - if you ever want to leave that gorgeous scenery and move south, you'll be welcomed by open arms! Open another office maybe? Just hoping!

As a vet tech, I've tried watching a few related shows, and no one is as likable or as passionate as Dr. Jeff. He's an incredible DVM, and although I have seen him face some criticism for certain ways he practices, his heart is fully in his career, and any tech would be honored to work for someone like that. Great, genuine show. Very heart-warming and true to the field. This is why we do what we do.

To have someone who charges a reasonable price when others are gouging us and give you a huge bill or put to sleep. I lost my puppy love 5yrs ago. I live in New England there was nobody like Jeff here for me it was either come up with $3600 or put him to sleep. I had about $500 available to me. They would not help my baby for that. No payment plan no nothing. But the $500 was enough for the cremation. I had no choice. If there were more Dr Jeff's out there I would probably have my baby today. So the question is this If Dr. Jeff can do this why can't other people do it? Is Dr. Jeff using anything different then other vet hospitals that makes it cheaper? I think not. Dr. Jeff has a heart is a very compationate person who is not in for money but for the welfare of our animals. It's not just Dr Jeff it's all the Dr's and vet tech's at PPP.

This is truly a great reality TV show and time spent makes you edified about life in a fallen world. if you have ears to hear you can learn a lot like how making emotional decisions (I want a puppy) but dont puppy-proof your home leads to negative consequences for your pet.
This is a show about dignity--the dignity of life! I'm not sure who sponsors this show (planned parenthood which i have problems with) but this is a show about leadership and skill. Dr Jeff leads by example. He is the most skilled at his job, then he teaches others, and inspires others. He doesn't get too high or low, he just does his job, is kind and moves on. If most dental and doctor offices ran like this vet hospital I personally would not be to toxic towards "professionals"...this is NO Western Dental hack office.
Then Dr Jeff does community helps like helping low income communities who cannot afford care. He works with high school students and allows then to help in his office shaving down animals before surgery. He is a giver!
I've never seen him lose his temper once. He's human, but he doesn't get emotionally involved. He is NOT co-dependent. He hires quality people. So much going on with this show...

I love dr. Jeff and his crew. I wished he were in NJ. I watch his show each day as well dr. Pol. I would use dr. Jeff without any hesitation. Unfortunately I can not say the same dr. Pol. I was petrified when dr. Pol cleaned an animal butt and next poked his fingers into the same animals eyes. No gloves. Please save our pets from dr. Pol. I like his crew though.
Dr. Jeff and his clinic show a great example for other vets in NJ, who unfortunately are far from dr. Jeff standard of care.

I love that they make pet parents spay or neuter their animals when being treated. The other review that complained about a shot being twice the price does not seem to understand the concept of an office visit. If you just want shots, you still have to pay an office visit fee! That feeling doesn't sound unreasonable to me. I wish he would move to the north Atlanta area!!

With all the cynicism and pessimism in today's world, it is so uplifting to see this show and watch love in action. There is nothing more comforting than to see people who love animals and show it. You can plainly see that Dr. Jeff and his staff truly care and show such kindness and affection to their clients and their loved ones. Even better, they extend that care to folks who can't afford the prices charged by their own vets. And by the way, to the reviewer who objected to their requirement re: spay/neuter...guess what? That is the responsible thing to do. Nothing is more sickening than macho men who won't get their male pets neutered because of their own misguided belief that it deprives them of something. Or the people who think it teaches their kids about life by letting their pets breed so they can observe the "miracle of birth," Irresponsible. Bravo Dr. Jeff!

This is one of the best reality shows ever! It's so obvious how much Dr. Jeff and his team care about the animals that receive treatment at their animal clinic, Planned Pethood. One of the things Dr Jeff insists on is that all pets are spayed or neutered, which is of course the responsible thing to do. There are just too many dogs and cats being euthanized every year due to overpopulation. I've seen episodes where Dr Jeff will go into poor communities to offer spay and neutering services for free or very low cost. One particular episode had his team spaying and neutering street cats. His entire team of veterinarians including his wife Petra, vet techs and staff are extremely dedicated. I really admire Dr. Jeff's dedication to controlling the pet population and keeping them healthy, safe and happy. Not all heroes wear capes Dr. Jeff! (but they might wear surgical caps with peppers)

I love this show. I can't get enough of it. But I get so angry with pet owners who are not responsible for their pets, whom they all claim to love. If you love them, get them neutered so they won't get hit by cars, get puppies their vaccines so they don't get parvo. If you can't afford basic care for a pet don't get one! Fortunately there is Dr Jeff there to take care of them and try to keep them alive. I'm livid about this episode with 2 - one yr old Yorkies who only received their first set of vaccinations. One has parvo and the adults are all upset. Seriously? I haven't finished watching but I'm betting the sibling has it also. So irresponsible of the adults. This puppy is suffering because of their laziness or if they didn't have the funds they shouldn't have got the puppies. But I love the rest of the episodes and the staff.
