If there was a story here, it got shredded and pieced together randomly.
The camera shots are decent, but not sure if it was the crappy screenplay, terrible editing, or the director got bored mid-scene, as some scenes were out of nowhere and/or just ended abruptly or dragged on. A Chinese 5th grader could have written a better screenplay.
And that lame and loud continuous 1980's background music was so annoying and out of place. Credit does go to some great photography, sfx and visuals for the fighting scenes but that's about it.
I'm sure B-Willz and A-Brodz where shaking their heads when they saw the final cut, but I'm sure they got paid well just to be headlined in this film.
Maybe the 25 producers (including Mel Gobson??) should have spent more money in the production instead of paying for the ridiculous amount of fake reviews.
At best, this film is a 4/10 - only for the visuals, but I knocked off 2 points for the fake reviews... I can't stand it when producers do that. So 2/10 from me

REVIEW - THE BOMBING (AIR STRIKE)
I love Chinese cinema, because even though the stories may be simple the action is usually none stop and this film set during the second world war is the same, the CGI aerial dog fight scenes are absolutely stunning but.......
A collaboration between Hollywood and Chinese cinema has brought you possibly Bruce Willis's worst film EVER!
Again we see Bruce at his worst and I can only imagine how much he was getting paid for this because in every scene he is in it is memorable for one reason, the reason being you just want to skip him forward to return to the stunning scenery, effects and the CGI dog fights.
Chinese cinema is famous for going big and in this story of 5 people trying to transport a piece of equipment through China whilst having every Japanese plane dropping bombs on and around them is at times quite enjoyable but if you can put up with a terrible script, dubbed actors and of course Bruce then give it a try and just enjoy the scenery, special effects and the dog fights otherwise avoid like you would a bomb being dropped on your head from a great height.
Yes you've guessed it, money equals Bruce Willis in his worst film ever!
I hope he's not this bad in Glass.

The only reason why I watched this movie cause of the big name A list Actor/Actress. The acting and script are horrible. B Movie with huge A list stars.
Here are the 8 A list Actor/Actress:
1.Bruce Willis: 2.Fan Bingbing: (Since 2013, Fan has been listed as the highest-paid celebrity in the Forbes China Celebrity 100 list for four years in a row after ranking in the top 10 every year since 2006.)
3.Adrien Brody: 4.Janine Chang: Hot Actress 5.Nicholas Tse: 6.Niki Chow: Hot Actress 7.Simon Yam: 8.Ray Lui:

If you title your movie 'Airstrike' then you better get the cgi right, this fails miserably in this dept. Aside from the trailer pretty much explaining everything and how predictable this is, it's cringeworthy in many places. Let's kick some ass indeed.
But don't take my word for it, watch the trailer, it sums it up well.
No doubt the Chinese could do better with their own history.
I have always a big excitement about war films. When i was downloading this movie, i expected something big . so i was bit of intoxicated and very thrilled to enjoy it. So i managed some times to watch this garbage. The movie started with interesting topic as well so i expected it very high. But alas! as the time goes , i didn't find any through line , i didn't find any convincing plot to be characterized. Making was so poor and the dramatization also. The only question arisen on my mind after watching that how on earth bruce wills signed for this kind of garbage. I followed him since my childhood. So i am very much confused about this one. So i decided to continue after some certain period.
Script is so poor. They pretend it as based on a true event but history interpreted the others. I am pretty much confused about this one too. SO at the end it turned about a absolute garbage for me. I strongly don't recommend to watch this. This is the poorest movie have i ever seen in the near past. I should have read the review here.
Cinematography was also v=not up to mark. But the only thing i care about in a movie is story. so i found nothing in this movie.
PLEASE DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME.

¿Sabías que…?
- TriviaThe original cut of the movie ran over 5 hours.
- ErroresThe Japanese bomber pilot says to open bomb bay doors. Shots of the plane's exterior show bombs attached directly to the fuselage and no bomb bay doors to open. The Japanese bombers have internal bomb bays which needed to be opened and bombs carried externally.
- Versiones alternativasThe US release, re-titled "Air Strike", is cut by 25 minutes from the original 121-minute Chinese version. It also dubs all the Chinese language sections of the film. Other releases, such as the UK (under the title "The Bombing"), feature the original version with part-English, part-Chinese dialogue.
