So Scott Atkins pretty much always means extraordinary action scenes. Here however, the first five minutes feel more like a gritty drama. Especially the first two minutes with Scott doing his exercises and looking with intense sadness at something made me think this could be something different than the usual stuff he is doing - well nope.
The plot is all over the place. Scott and his movie daughter are apparently in witness protection and some dudes invade his home out of pure stupidity and coincidence. So Scott has to let out his superhero alter ego and brutally murder everyone. Except his daughter of course. Well, since he is all over the news now, he is kind of hunted by the crime boss he was hiding from in witness protection.
Cinematography is actually quite nice. Good camera movement for the nearly exploitative action scenes. Also good editing - you always have an overview what happens, and if you don't, it is intended and enhances suspense a little. The flick uses toned down colors to convey the gritty and realistic feel. In total, I would say the movie is competently shot on a technical level.
The actors...well there is Scott Atkins, who is not known for his acting ability, but for his amazing martial arts. But I think he became quite convincing in the last years. The thing is, he never really has a role that needs his acting chops. It's not different here. Apart from him, there is maybe the main bad guy that is somehow memorable. He does have the physical presence needed, he seems intimidating when he is walking along with his firearms. Acting wise, there is not much happening though.
So in essence, the film could have been better with a more interesting script and maybe more interesting dialogue. Some people die and you should be feeling something, but you don't. That is the fault of the script. It is very bare minimum story as set up for really really good action scenes. So really, good movie for Scott Atkins fans and martial arts enthusiasts. The rest of potential audiences won't get much out of the movie though.
Five out of ten for general movie competence and action scenes.

At first I did not expect much from Eliminators. But As a fan of Scott Adkins brand of action, I'd say it ranks as one of his better films. This isn't the thinking man's type but more of a simple, straight forward, one man army 80/90s action movie . For that much it is entertaining and somewhat of a hidden gem. Adkins proves he is a solid yet underrated action star by providing some kick ass and innovative fights with some cool locations for it to take place in. Unlike most bland, low budget action films shot in eastern Europe this was actually shot in London which added to the movie. Sure, acting may not be a strength of the movie and the story may not be the most original but it is leaps and bounds better than other low budget DTV films like the crap washed up action stars like Seagal churn out every few months . Overall, Eliminators is a fairly decent entry into the sub-genre of the direct to DVD/VOD action movies. Adkins brings the goods and racks up a healthy body count and one of the better movies made by WWE studios.
7/10.

If you like action-packed fast-paced films starring Scott Adkins and Stu Bennett, then this film is for you. Eliminators (2016) is a generic action flick with an OK plot.
Former US federal agent Thomas and professional hitman Bishop are your main macho-man. They sweat testhosterone and are black belts on every other martial arts.
Recommendable for action lovers. You can watch it without much thought to details as this film is as mind-numbing as it can get.

This is a fast paced action thriller with an anticipated twist, that is fairly well acted by Adkins, James Cosmo (of Braveheart fame) and WWE's Wade Barret.
Like stylish action thrillers since Bourne, it sees the protagonist as a fallen American hero in London. In Keeping with the zeitgeist, our hero and villain are tech savy and expertly trained in hand to hand combat. There is of course homage to the genre in the form of high speed antics in a classic German 'whip' (in this case a beautiful example of a 1984 BMW 635 csi). Night action around famed London landmarks adds to the element.
There is some empathy inducing, partial blurring of the good/bad divide through the character of the grandfather, but not the sort of moral dilemma that will hold attention after the credits role.
Certainly watchable, if more so for the visuals than the dialogue, and fairly engaging. The action choreography was quite decent and, as someone who has been on that side of production, lending a sense of 'believable' to the fight sequences.
Better than a Sunday afternoon 'fighty film'.

"Eliminators" felt like a mix of UNIVERSAL SOLDIER, THE TERMINATOR & BOURNE LEGACY but set in England & it's pretty good, yeah it's a typical cheap DTV Action Film with the king of Low-budget Action Adkins but it's exactly what i thought it would be by the cover art.
Adkins rises the typical Action stuff way above average because he's such a talented fighter & good actor so his just being in this makes it worth watching!!! Adkins is the lead here as an American living in London with his little girl & of coming has a hidden past that comes to the surface when he's exposed all over the News when he kills 3 hoodlums who brake into his house & that unleashes all sorts of threat & one is a big scary Assassin played by Bennett & he makes a really good villain & great counterpart to Adkins to fight with & do lots of Cool stylish Action & their fights scenes are really good.
This has the typical race against time to locate his daughter before the bad guys get to her & that means lots of chasing & shooting through a very slick looking London city & it's pretty much non-stop Action & again although it's a DTV flick & nothing new at all it's still a fun watch & Adkins is always good. I still think Adkins is ridiculously underrated & should have taken over Hollywood by now like Statham did!!!!
A slick looking Action flick

This is a basic action flick but it could and should have been so much better than it is although it would never be great.
Lots of poor and corny dialogue and poor decisions by the good guys. You know the sort of thing - not killing the baddie when you can and letting his escape. Yawn. Also the thing about the goody being shot but then doing martial arts, etc. as if nothing had happened. Thought this had gone out at least two decades ago. Yawn (again). Lots of drawn-out sequences. And plot holes and logic, particularly at the beginning and the end. Oh dear...
And what the title has to do with the story is anyone's guess. Although the producers probably thought it was better than ' A bit of editing could have improved it, but switch off any kind of logical thinking and, if you've nothing better to watch (and preferably if it's on TV), and you like Scott Adkins and his fighty arts, waste an hour and a half on it if you must.

Adkins would have been great late 80 early 90 when all the martial arts B movie where poring out like crazy after the success of bloodsport, and Jean Claude Van damme and Nico where a slim Steven Siegal showed us some new fighting moves.
But lets face it this poor scenario has been played to death by Billy Blanks, Gary Daniels, Don Wilson, and so on back in the days, this is 2017 and i guess that people have seen enough of the tournament fighting crap, or the bad martial arts plot.
Its really sad because Adkins as replace all those awful bad actors in is b movie direct to video, except for small parts in big feature film where he has so much makeup you don't recognize him he will never leave the direct to video movie land.
Poor Scott is 25y to late.

Being unimpressed by "Hard Target 2" I was apprehensive about Adkins' new low budget effort.
This is quite an enjoyable gem with some clever (fight) sequences, kudos to the bottle cap moment during Wade Barrett's first action scene & the aerial tramway fight. There's also a nice tension going on in the film at times, which does make you want to keep watching.
The downside offcourse is the acting is not great & most characters won't stay in your memory very long. Also Barrett's villain was quite cliché with his taunting. In the end though it's not what action fans usually look for in a low budget actioner & "Eliminators" is certainly good viewing material for Scott Adkins fans, who will see their favorite martial arts star go up against wrestler Wade Barrett in two raw put together fight sequences!

Apparently defending one's self and family from three armed intruders breaking into one's home attempting to kill you and and your family in the UK is not the same as in the USA.

... this one took me back to the days of action flicks with Van Damme, Norris & Seagal back in the 80's & 90's , and i really enjoyed it.
No mucking around straight into the story and great action scenes, great little action flick!!!

The story (if you want to call it that) is a bit muddled, especially towards the end, it seems a bit too much trying to tie loose ends and stuff. But for a low budget action movie this is pretty decent. And while the WWE brand is behind this, it doesn't mean that they throw money at the filmmaker to fulfill their wishes.
Wade Barrett is used to being the heel, so he does not have a problem doing this here. His mere presence is or could potentially leave some people in awe. Not so Scott Adkins, who has played a baddie or two before but goes over to the good side for this. Some neat action scenes, a forgettable plot, and a Cosmo to mix things up. You could do worse

This is a scott adkins movie,so you basically know what you'll get. Lousy acting, and lot of action an martial arts.
After a home invasion our main character kill 3 bad guys to protect him self and his daughter,he wakes up in a hospital, charged of murdering said bad guys in cold blood. One thing leads to another his face is all over the news, and someone who thought he was dead hires a A so called Pro hit-man to kill him. The problem, is the movie takes place in London, which is one of the most CCTV cities in the world, yet there no APB on him.Even though he start spraying bullets in public This movie is so full of stupid plot holes that you cringe.
But I give it two stars cause unlike other movies with Martial arts in them, here the camera actually take a step back, and let you have a good clear overview of whats happening. Which is really nice. The fights scenes are sadly not so elegantly executed. Scott is and excellent fighter, but his on screen repertoire, sadly consist of very much the same strikes and kicks, with a few exceptions.
Make no mistake this is D-movie at best

There are several points in this movie I would have given up some kind of fight for a good old fashion knee capping. When the bad guy is way too dangerous to leave totally mobile put a bullet in a knee or shoulder. Seriously!! If I ever direct a movie there will be so many of them.

The story-line is a clichéd unoriginal one, as are the characters and the acting is poor, particularly from the hit-man and dreadful American accents are aplenty, especially the non-entity who plays Cooper. We are expected to believe that, having had three men burst into Adkins home, armed with a gun, he is then arrested for their murder. I believe the term is 'self defence', so the persistence of the police to charge him with murder is laughable. We are also asked to believe that a hit-man can maraud the streets of London, shooting up the place, without a single police car, or policeman responding. Even after blowing up a hotel. He apparently doesn't mind showing his face, or hide his actions, even though this would mean certain capture and the inability to spend his wages, due to being in jail for a thousand years. Europe's 'best hit-man' is also very stupid and a terrible actor. There really isn't a lot to recommend about this movie, unless you can suspend belief long enough to get through it, which I couldn't. It's just a really dumb failure on a multitude of levels.

I don't get the low ratings, this movie was pretty good. It has nothing we haven't seen already in various action movies but It has a decent story, good pace and the action scenes are nice. I'm glad that the main character - the always great Scott Adkins - wasn't kicking around in order to save the world but he was just after his daughter. Loved the little twist with the old gangster. Good movie, I really enjoyed it.
