Shark Tank Australia

Perfect recreation of the American one and the American one is good :). Sharks were very well selected and reflect the good business attributes of Australia. People criticized the bluntness and honesty of the sharks however these attributes of the show are what makes it good. The show offers entertainment for the audience. PR for the Sharks and millions of dollars worth of free advertising so its a win for everyone. Ratings performed well despite the enormous competition of the Sydney siege and MKR on the Sunday which shows it is a strong show. Its ratings increased throughout the night shows that people joined in. 10/10 will watch every week. This last line is just so i can submit the review as i need 10 lines.

The premise of the show is people with an idea, often one they have already to some degree gotten off the ground appear on the show and hope to gain the interest of one of the pompous and boring "Sharks". The Sharks being wealthy people who often demand a ludicrous percentage of the profits or business in question in return for the outlay of their money.

The show is boring. Most of the time the Sharks are far too cautious to take a punt and at other times they are just rude. I saw one episode where one of the Sharks was eating chocolate after chocolate made by the person hoping to get some interest, only for him in the end to be rude and decline.

Enough of this bad TV. If need be do away with the Australian content laws and just show re-runs of just about any Yank or Brit show.
