The movie was a mid level thriller. Somewhat predictable, but with good pace. The real star is Mario Casas, who once again showcases his excellent acting chops. Well worth the watch just for that.

Mario Casas is a great actor, he is the whole movie really. The story is simple but it gets your attention, a little bit predictable. It is a very minimalist movie, just a few scenarios and a bunch of actors. The ending is very sudden and it leaves you a bitter taste.

No more than six stars I'm afraid.

This guy, Dani, had the worst day i could ever imagine. It's definitely edge of your seat thriller. I gave it a 6 because I expected a better ending.

This film is interesting but a very slow start. Not a lot of characters and of course Mario Casas steals the show as always. He's a breathtakingly amazing actor. The best of our generation. Anyway, the film is a hard watch from midway through but the script is original. A good thriller movie with s*x violence etc etc but not amazing. So a seven for effort

What starts with a friendly gesture completely spirals out of control.

Predictable thriller but some nice long takes without cuts.

The camera is almost all the time close to the main character.

2019, Barcelona , a good-natured man called Dani (Mario Casas) suffers after sudden dying his aging father . The shy , introverted young man works as a seller in a travel agency in which he's a hard-working clerk . Later on , he meets a mysterious and troublesome woman (Milena Smit). Things go wrong , when the good-looking youngster has an unexpected deadly confrontation , resulting in his quiet life takes a dramatic change . Instincts kick in to clean up the unrest caused in the name of self-defense but does one actually escape free after commit a crime ?

No Matarás or Cross The Line is an anguished , frenetic, nail-biting and for moments violent film that supposes a change of record for the known actor Mario Casas in which he plays a good-mannered , friendly and fine young plunged into a spiral of death and bad decisions . He deservedly won 2021 Goya Award and Feroz prize . Milena Smit appears next to Mario Casas as the free-spirit , disconcerting girl named Mila who gets into trouble , and whose interpretation was worthwhile the Goya nomination and subsequent Pedro Almodovar's call to perform Madres paralelas or Parallel Mothers (2021) . Furthermore , Elisabeth Larena as his understanding and good sister Laura and Fernando Valdivielso as the bully and violent Mila's boyfriend.

It displays a sensitive and rousing , at times, musical score from composers Adrian Foulkes and Federico Jusid , adding catching songs . As well as colorful cinematography from Barcelona by cameraman Elias Felix . In addition to directing this No matarás (2020) , Catalan director, David Victori writes what he conceived as an absolutely sensory work . He explains the following : ¨I wanted the viewer's experience to be very active, this is the cinema that I like, the one that makes you participate in what is happening, during the filming there was an obsession to get into the skin of the protagonist and share his five senses¨. This slow-burn thriller with suspenseful and dramatic events was professionally directed by David Victory . This craftsman David Victori is a young filmmaker who was World Winner of the YouTube's Film Festival . He was selected by Variety and ScreenDaily as one of the directors to watch in the coming years . Represented by CAA. Writer of the Spanish Films "Second Origin" (2015) and " Son of Cain" (2013). Rating : 7/10 . Essential and indispensable seeing for Mario Casas fans . Well worth watching .

For me the acting of Mario Casas was great, a good thriller, a bit predictable and the ending was disappointing a bit, leaving you wondering, unfortunately...

Undoubtedly Mario Casas is the great name of this film. His first act, in the first fifteen minutes is doubtful, a little confused and too fast when presenting his characters to the public. However, the film by newcomer David Victori takes shape and full-bodied plot in his second and third act (or parts), when the atmosphere of tension grows, when the character is removed from his comfort zone and the suspense does not stop growing. David Victori found good alternatives to an apparently low-budget film. Could have remade some takes where the camera shakes, for example at the end, but in general it is a great film with an 8 note and that will go into my favorite catalog of Mario Casas. It pleased me a lot. Casas' presence and work are incredible. The end of the film is very artistic with the curious detail of the breaking of the fourth wall.

Story: storyline is great Execution: lack of creativity and not mature thriller. Seems like someone who is new to thriller/crime genre.

Writing: not much good Script: based on story there could be great script written however its lacking of gripping contents.

Acting: Mario Casas is good actor but alone him can't do much in this poor script and direction. And he has been shown too much weak character.

Camera work: worst i have seen. I mean its fine that you have moving camera but not always. 60% of the movie is shot with moving camera from the beginning to the climax.

Overall: not recommEnded. I watched because i saw Mario Casas in good in such kind of movies or genre.

This is one of the movie that make you imagine what will happen but you'll never known before. The start is slow and easy, you saw many other movies start like this, but what will happen later and every situations will make you wondering all the time and this make you stuck at the chair!

Mario Casas is really a great actor!

It probably is something you shout or at least think while you watch the main character ... doing something! He is quite the gullible little naive little human. Not little in size that is. We get to know him and his sister, before we/he dive into a spiral that seems to be un-escapable.

Once you cross a line ... there is no coming back. Although even then, the question is, why go for something and endanger yourself while doing it? Suspension of disbelief ... and a really out there approach to certain things. Not all may agree with everything he does, but overall it makes sense. And I have to admit it is funny to see the main character being played by someone who I only know as the complete opposite of what he portrays here! Good for him and fun for us to watch!

Kept me guessing and focused all along, exciting and fun.

Only the first 10 minutes are boring , so just dont quit watching if you don't like the first few minutes because then the real movie starts.

A small scoped but frantic thriller with a powerful Mario Casas at the centre of it. A suspenseful experience with a chilling finale.
