First of all applause for Mr.Mysskin for give such a nice and entertaining ghost movie. I've saw all of his movie and honestly i'm saying that i'm a big fan of him. OK about the movie, it runs about 1 1/2 hour if not mistaken and everything is in there. Supporting cast, sound design, casting and the predicaments in the story are Pisaasu's lifeline.Pisaasu is definitely fictional and one leaving the theatre satisfied with the story will depend on how he or she has conceptualized ghosts and to what an extent they are willing to be flexible with what they have conceived in their minds about the supernaturals. The love angle of the story, pretty weak and unconvincing for me. Overall it is good ghost movie. Watch it with patience and open mind, perhaps it might send you back home with a smile.
My first Mysskin sir film on theater. After awaiting so many days after watching Wolf and the Goat, the movie really moved me since the start of the only song.
Scene in which the girl takes away Cigarette box and matchbox still stays in my mind.
Fight scene has been choreographed beautifully such that I was feeling the guy's pain when he was hit at the back.
Prayaga's hard work will definitely pay her.
Arol Corelli has done a beautiful job with his song and background score. I am listening the BGM from the making of the movie at least a 1000th time now, such a great use of solo violin and humming.
Driving without attention, driving without helmet, cruelty still prevailing on so called enlightened families on woman at home, father's love, mother's care and FATE!

awesome movie from a talented director, just used a limited number of casts to create an awesome movie, the movie is just emotional, hats off to the director myshkin, its very tough to think a story line like this, and the way he carried out the character of that girl(bhavani) after death is great, radharavi's acting is a great plus, which made me to cry,and the movie is absolutely an awesome piece of work..... pisasu is just emotional and the movie will be remembered in our hearts.......... ........................ have to thank director myshkin for giving such an wonderful experience in the form of movie............
'Pisaasu' is all about the incidents in life of a violinist after an accident occurred to a young woman, whom he admits in a hospital. There is a ghost theory, there are emotions, there is everything you will love to watch. It is engaging, emotional drama. Pisasu is truly a masterpiece. I can't talk about it much now. My eyes were moist for some scenes. Now I just can't explain the unexplainable. As everyone say I do not consider it for the Horror genre. Its something besides that, kind of a new Genre. Added to list of my favorites. Mysskin take a bow. #GreatFan of your screenplays. Highly recommended. Must Watch.
Why'd I watch Pisasu? Emergency mental detox after "Lingaa" melted my brain like a stray turd in a urinal and wanted to flush out the horrors of it. At this point, I'm happy revisiting legendary duo Krishnan-Panju's classics than sit through another mokka comedy.
And coming to modern Indian horror films, more like a toilet bowl overflowing with bargain-bin CGI, cheap jump scares, 'jokes' well leave it here. We've had a never-ending diarrhea of 'horror-comedies' where the only terror is realizing you paid money for this.
You cling to directors like Mysskin like he's the last roll of toilet paper in a crisis, even if his films sometimes smell like a philosopher's clogged septic tank, reeking solipsism at least they're not the wet wipes masquerading as cinema elsewhere.
Anyway, this Pisasu flick had been festering on my watchlist since the trailer dropped, and I finally braced myself and went in, and surprisingly, it wasn't a total fecal disaster! It's got this slightly off-kilter Southeast Asian vibe, but with actual dialogue and, dare I say, a hint of something that doesn't smell entirely rotten. That trailer, though? Total deceptive wipe. You think it's just another ghost story, but nope! It's all about tragic loss at the beginning, with some spooky bits thrown in like finding an unexpected floater.
The acting in Pisasu? Surprisingly not crap. The main dude is fantastic as this insecure fella who, bless his heart, has impeccable taste in dead composers. And Radha Ravi? Color me shocked! He actually was decent He had to actually act, which is a step up from his usual roles. There's this one scene where he's crawling and crying, and you almost feel bad for him, even if it drags on a bit (maybe Mysskin was trying to make us feel constipated with emotion?). But the music was actually good, so I'll let it slide. That bit in the trailer with the woman doing her best black metal banshee impression during a ritual? Beautifully staged, and one of the film's highlights which turns out to be funny too.
But the real scene-stealer is the newcomer playing the ghost, she nails the dual nature of the character, making her surprisingly complex. Props to Mysskin for not making her the usual screaming airhead. Her story arc is what makes the spooky and the sappy bits actually interesting. Her character's journey is what makes the horror and the feels actually land.
So, yeah, a few minor clogs aside, Mysskin actually tells a story that's more than just the usual "boo!" with a good narrative that reveals layers beneath the surface of Pisasu. For those weary of Lingaa, or simply tired of the recent bilge being served up, give this a go. You might actually enjoy the film, as it genuinely acknowledges the audience as possessing a certain cognitive architecture, more like they have functioning brain cells.
