To put it out there immediately, yes this movie is irrational. The plot is unrealistic and the majority of the situations that the main character faces can be debunked by any viewer. HOWEVER, the movie in itself was downright amusing. I laughed at many of the lines, mannerisms & expressions of the cast. This movie was not created to win an Oscar, it was created to give the audience a good time. Yes, you will cringe at some of the acting from the supporting cast, but we're not watching Hollywood's A-list actors here people. The star of the film actually makes his character likable, don't let his Vine "behavior" discredit that. The editing is great, the overall acting is mediocre but it definitely isn't a snooze fest. I wouldn't call this movie necessarily a "must-watch" but if you ever find yourself looking for a movie to amusingly pass the time, give it a shot.

Im sorry but this movie was just downright awful. The acting sucked, Cameron should just stop acting because hes just terrible. The jokes were terrible. The only actually good actor in this movie was Matt Shivley. Awesomeness TV has produced some way better movies like "The Smosh Movie" but this just sucked. The story was just very dumb and un-original. I don't recommend seeing this movie at all, but Im so glad I didn't pay for it. I had very low expectations for this movie and they met them! Id hate to say it but Dragonball:Evolution was a better movie than this. So all in all this movie was horrible do not watch it. Id wrather watch db evolution 59 billion times over.

Hey, it's a cute, juvenile fantasy. I can't imagine that anyone who chose to watch it was laboring under the assumption that it was going to be anything more than that.
I've never even heard of Cameron Dallas before this. I don't think he needs to start working on a draft for his Golden Globe acceptance speech, but if you're doing a cute, juvenile fantasy, I can think of no one who could have handled the job better... to be fair I have to admit I'm not sure who else might be in the running. Occasionally he delivered his lines like he was reading them for the first time and I suppose his bubbly enthusiasm might wear thin much longer than the 90 minutes or so this movie ran, but I really can't see why some reviewers were so negative. I'm sure he'll be a hit among the presumed target audience for Expelled.
The idea of some school kid bored to death with school and then engineering some elaborate, unrealistic schemes to undermine the smooth running of the school, to deceive his parents and to outwit adults who are portrayed as clueless drones, is hardly original. The "pranks" and antics Felix & Co. pull off are childishly improbable ... I don't think anyone was aiming at realism ... but then it was fairly amusing in a absurd sort of way.
I'm pretty sure the goal of the production was to make a silly, laughable bit of fluff and in that regard, they were pretty successful. Felix and his co-conspirators were fun to watch. Great theater for all times it was not, but some of the rather angry, spiteful sounding reviews appearing here suggest their authors really need to lighten up and look at this movie as a bit of fun, not as an attempt at a profound, thought-provoking social commentary.
I'm giving it a 7. Probably deserved a 5 or 6, but I feel the need to compensate for some of the over-the-top critics.

I can't believe I just saw this piece of monumental crap. What they where thinking when they made this movie? The acting has zero value. The plot is beyond stupidity. It makes dumb and dumber (the worst comedy of the year) to look like a masterpiece. I want my time back. I've never seen a movie that made me wanna kill myself. What has become of cinema? Who is making movie stars now? Vine? Instagram? Snapchat?. Humanity is lost. If they continue making movies like this I'm just gonna be ready for extinction. I won't recommend this even to my worst enemy. I need to calm down now. Sorry for my English, I used to write in Spanish. The word we use for this kind of thing is: Caca.

Let's get real. This isn't a big-budget blockbuster movie. What do you expect, it was produced by a YouTube channel forgodsakes. The people in it are not actors, they are just YouTubers, Viners, you name it. And if you're not into watching funny sketches on those sites, why would you expect a film like this to be different? I'm pretty open-minded and watch any movie I find to be entertaining--not because I obsess over the main guy like some preteen girl.
This movie is directed at a specific audience. And so are Bollywood movies. I sat through 2-3 hours of a Bollywood movie once. It had song and dance/music video intermissions, irrational plots, and cartoon parts for scenes that were too expensive/difficult to film. I was mildly entertained because I wanted to know who stole the diamonds.
Sometimes I watch mainstream Philippine romantic/comedy/drama movies to make fun of how bad the acting is. They are all the same. There's a guy, there's a girl and they fall in love. There is a big climax near the end where everything seems to go to s*** but their love keeps them together. But to the right audience, this is cinema gold.
My point is: If you're the targeted audience, you will probably enjoy this movie. If you stumbled onto this movie by accident like me, you might hate it. But I loved the witty humor brought about by this cast. A movie doesn't have to be from Hollywood to be good.
At least it's better entertainment than Keeping Up With the Kardashians or Jersey Shore.

This movie is an absolute affront to both society, and good taste as a whole. The "Vine Star" cast turns in a predictably bad performance but to their credit they adhere to their traditional format, there are about 6 seconds of good acting in the entire film. Do not, under any circumstance, watch this movie. It seems like a middle school English class tried to rewrite Ferris Bueller's Day Off, but their teacher gave them the added parameter that the term "butthole" had to be used 15 times. The main character's brother turns in an atrocious Jim Carrey impression. Perhaps the movie would've benefited from a cast of real actors, but the producer who decided to use internet "celebrities" in lieu of trained actors greatly underestimated the public's palate for terrible acting. 1/10, and that's generous.

This movie is one of the few I've ever watched that I couldn't stomach past the first twenty minutes. Viner and infamous asshole Cameron Dallas can't act at all, making him a more than terrible choice for the lead actor in this flick. The other internet celebrities that appear in the movie aren't much better. It felt like I was watching the low-budget remake of Ferris Bueller's Day Off- except Cameron Dallas is not at all as likable as Matthew Broderick. In fact, I hated the character within the first three minutes of viewing. The plot and back story of the film were weak and about as believable as its characters. If you're looking to watch some of your favourite Youtube stars in a film, maybe try Camp Takota instead. How did this ever get a 5.3 rating???

I gave this movie the benefit of the doubt to see if Cameron Dallas was more than a pretty face. Perhaps I should have just gone with my initial instinct.
The acting, at best, is terrible. The principal - whose name I didn't bother to memorize - gives off one of the worst performances. It's almost like he's gritting his teeth and praying for filming to be over. Cameron has about a minute-and-a-half's worth of somewhat decent acting; given that this film will take away an-hour-and-half of your life, that's not a very promising ratio.
The dialogue itself is terrible. It's one thing to have decent lines and crummy actors, but this was a well-rounded film in terms of how badly thought out it was. Let me provide an example for you:
"Aren't you expelled?" "Um.../yeah./"
The entire film is essentially a knock-off of every 80's comedy ever made but with grade-D acting and elementary dialogue.
Do yourself a favor and skip this, regardless of how attractive you might find Cameron Dallas.

To give it a light explanation. It's not a terrible movie. it is if you are looking for something deep. then this is not for you what so ever. But if you're just looking for a movie to pass time and watch then this movie isn't an awful choice. I've seen movies with worse acting though some acting in this movie was most definitely not favorable.I enjoyed seeing Lia Marie Johnson for a second. more because I had seen her in Fine Bro videos "Kids React" and enjoyed seeing her in a different light. I'm also a 17 year old boy though. So I may show some light bias. But all in all I believe people are being too cruel on the movie. This of course is not a professional movie, it's more of a Youtube movie. So if you watch it without looking too in depth you can still easily enjoy it.

You have to suspend your beliefs to enjoy this obviously, cartoonish, over-the-top movie.
It's very unrealistic and implausible, but it is what it is. It's clearly not trying to be a serious film.
Just relax and enjoy it. I surprisingly had one belly laugh from it. I had considered turning off after 20 mins; I'm glad I stuck it out until the end.
It's just a silly movie. A silly corny, yet charming, flick.
The girl in the film is that Lia from the YouTube FineBros "Kids react to" videos. I think I'd likely give this a 6 out of 10, but I'm feeling generous.

Funny. You have to be more of a teenager (like me) to enjoy this film. It follows Felix O'Neil, who is always in trouble at school, getting expelled. After doing so, throughout the film (I won't spoil it), he is coming up with schemes to not have his parents find out. His friend Danny, is always being dragged along in his plans, helping Felix break into the school, change his grades and steal things. The only downside is the film may inspire young children to get ideas that will get them in trouble, but otherwise a hilarious movie and great for the family on a bad day. Highly recommend. Hope this review was helpful without spoiling the plot.

Came across this movie randomly and i tought the premise, altough not original, would be fun. And to a certain degree it was.
Yes it does borrow a lot from Ferris Bueller and even to an extent a little bit of Home Alone for certain gags, but if you been watching movies in 2025 you have to admit originality is not really a strong point anymore regardless.
Personally i am fine with movies that use an establish concept and do their own twist on it, and that one was fine.
I do think the "love interest" was really shoehorned without a proper built and she didn't really brought much into the movie exept one convenience plot point ultimately but it wasn't a huge issue.
Its one of those juvenile comedy that remain kinda light hearted and altough not original by any mean, does what its suppose to do. The lead actor who play Felix really reminded me of a younger Grant Gustin from The Flash. Its a 6 out of 10 for me.
