I was expecting a small children only movie. Or some other silly experience like Lego Elves. And this is a nicely done short movie with super heroes. Also, I have enjoyed how things in the Lego universe don't die or burn, but only get separated into the composing lego bricks.

Be-Leaguered was the start of the Lego DC universe and unlike it's following feature length movies only stands at around 20 minutes.
It's a quick story about the Justice League trying to recruit Batman into their ranks but him refusing. But when the Justice League members get kidnapped one by one he jumps into action.
Alike the others it's dumb, its dumb and its aimed primarily at tykes.
What makes this one particularly bad is how pathetic it makes the DC villians and the identity of the real antagonist, it would have been less dumb if it were Howard The Duck.
Only for big fans of Lego DC.
The Good:
I liked the bit where it ended
The Bad:
Dumb payoff
Childish
Things I Learnt From This Movie:
I'm getting really burnt out on these Lego DC movies!
Batman should never laugh, it chills me to my very soul

I loved this one, always very fun, and always Batman being Batman, self-centered and with an air of superiority, almost always a bore, kkkk, but here at least the ironic jokes were accurate and fun, the unsmiling bat man didn't hinder...
Superman is trying to recruit Batman into the Justice League. The bitter loner Batman refuses due to his mistrust of the superpowered alien. Somehow the superheroes are disappearing one by one. They've been kidnapped by Bat-Mite who is setting an elaborate apparatus to destroy the Justice League and forcing Batman to save them.
This follows the first Lego movie. I love the relationship between Batman and Superman. They have a fun scene but the situation pulls them apart. I'd prefer them as an unwilling buddy cop combo for the entire episode. Instead, the villain is Bat-Mite and his silliness saps away the satirical take of the superhero genre. Bat-Mite is a ridiculous fan boy and a satirical take himself. He may work to take the tar out of a serious Batman story. The only way to make Bat-Mite work in this may be to concentrate on his irrelevance. Opening the door is a good start but his whole story needs to be that. Like I said, this should be a comedy duo with Batman and Superman where Batman is pissed whenever Superman gets the bad guy easily and quickly. Their banter is the all and everything that this should be.

Lego DC Comics: Batman Be-Leaguered (2014) is a Lego DC animated short film about Batman not joining the Justice League and it was awesome.
Positives for Lego DC Comics: Batman Be-Leaguered (2014): This short film does am not excellent job at taking its story and condensing it into a short runtime. I like the arc of Batman being a lone superhero and wanting no part in the Justice League. The voice cast does a great job with their performances. The comedy is excellent and it made me smile. The action sequences are very entertaining. And finally, the last scene of this short film was really funny.
Negatives for Lego DC Comics: Batman Be-Leaguered (2014): Bat-Mite being revealed as the mastermind who kidnapped the Justice League was really dumb.
Overall, Lego DC Comics: Batman Be-Leaguered (2014) was an excellent short film with the DC superheroes in Lego form and I would definitely rewatch this in the future.

Batman: The disappearance of the monuments and the Justice League were just framework crimes, like 2 slices of bread on an evil sandwich. And the bologna in the center of that sandwich is me. The mastermind behind this sandwich must be hiding at the last place I ever want to go: the Hall of Justice.
