Exclusive: 20th Television has signed an overall deal with Erin and Sara Foster, the duo behind the studio’s big new comedy hit, Netflix’s Nobody Wants This, and their Fatigue Sisters Productions. Erin is creator, writer and executive producer and Sara is executive producer on the series, starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, which topped the streaming rankings in October, quickly earning a Season 2 renewal.

Development on Nobody Wants This began during a three-year pod deal the Fosters had at 20th TV from 2019-22. This marks the sisters and long-time creative collaborators’ return to the studio, a part of Disney Television Studios. Under the new multi-year pact, they will develop, write and executive produce original series through Fatigue Sisters for all linear networks and streamers, with emphasis across the Disney Entertainment Television platforms.

After announcing the birth of the twins with her live-in boyfriend Elijah Scott, Lowry recorded an episode of her Barely Famous podcast where she talked about her ever growing family.

Former Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowry is now going to be a mother of seven. Lowry secretly welcomed her gift so in October 2022 and didn't reveal such publicly until recently. In a new episode of her Barely Famous podcast, hosted by Lowry and with guest Allison Kuch, Lowry revealed that she was expecting twins with boyfriend Elijah Scott. Kuch and Lowry were talking visiting Thailand earlier this year and both returned home with "permanent souvenirs" as Kuch is also expecting her first child with her first child with NFL husband Isaac Rochell.

The Shazam! Fury of the Gods actor will star alongside Kristen Bell in an untitled comedy from creator Erin Foster (Barely Famous) and executive producer Steven Levitan (Modern Family, Reboot). The series is “centered on the unlikely relationship between an outspoken, agnostic woman (Bell) and an unconventional rabbi (Brody),” the logline reads.

Not much else is known about Bell’s Joanne, but Brody’s Noah is a charming rabbi who is stuck in his ways and used to playing things safe, according to the streamer. “He starts to stumble when he meets a brutally honest and proactive Joanne, totally upending his safe life plan,” reads the description for his character.

Adam Brody has boarded Netflix’s new Kristen Bell-led comedy, the streamer announced Thursday.

“The O.C.” star will play Noah, a charming rabbi whose stable life gets shaken up when he meets a brutally honest and provocative Joanne, totally upending his safe life plan. Bell is set to star as Joanne in the series, “an irreverent, outspoken, agnostic woman” who pursues a relationship with Noah.

Brody’s casting comes almost two months after news that the streamer greenlit the untitled project.

The logline is as follows: “A comedy centered on the unlikely relationship between an irreverent, outspoken, agnostic woman and an unconventional rabbi.”

Netflix has picked up a new comedy series starring Kristen Bell from writer Erin Foster and executive producer Steven Levitan, Variety has learned.

The untitled series is said to center on “the unlikely relationship between an irreverent, outspoken, agnostic woman (Bell) and an unconventional rabbi.”

Foster created the series and serves as an executive producer. Bell also executive produces in addition to starring. Levitan executive produces via Steven Levitan Productions (Slp). Craig Digregorio, Sara Foster, and Danielle Stokdyk also executive produce. Oly Obst and Josh Lieberman are executive producers for 3 Arts. 20th Television will produce in association with Slp, with the company currently under an overall deal at the studio.

The Frozen and The Good Place actress will star in an untitled show from creator Erin Foster (Barely Famous) and executive producer Steven Levitan (Modern Family, Reboot) about “the unlikely relationship between an irreverent, outspoken, agnostic woman and an unconventional rabbi,” per the show’s logline. Bell will play the agnostic woman and also serve as an executive producer.

The series is the second at Netflix for Bell, who also starred in the streamer’s thriller parody The Woman in the House Across the Street From the Girl in the Window last year.

Bell is coming off Amazon’s feature film The People We Hate at the Wedding and will be part of the voice cast for an upcoming Paw Patrol movie. Her credits also include Queenpins, Hulu’s Veronica Mars revival and the Bad Moms movies.
