I started watching this movie without any previous information.

Ok, so an adolescent boy doesn't care about his parents who keep him on tight leash. They leave him home alone and he takes their car to drive 8 hours to the other side to visit an online girlfriend.

The movie had nothing special, nothing original until then.

The acting was alright, not excellent.

And then the unbelievable truth unfolds before our eyes, we get confronted and confused into questions of parenting, responsibility, dilemnas, hard choices, relationships, family, love of parents, sacrifices and guild.

At first the grass seems always greener on the other side of the fence until we try it.

At the end, emotions run loose, almost over the edge, joy and anger, hope and disappointments, but the movie still remains very real in its dramatization, with refreshing positivism.

I'm glad I've seen this movie.

This time I will not comment on the fact there are people giving this movie a ten star rating. It's their opinion and I can't help it that they found that this was one of the better, if not the best, movie they ever watched in their lives. I just feel sorry for them, that's all. Disconnected is just an average movie, really nothing special about it, the acting isn't fantastic but not awful either. The story will probably work better for a teenager audience or for people that like cheesy stories. I won't say I hated it, but loving it was even further than hating it.

I assumed I knew what the movie was going to be about based on the fact that the protagonists are two teenagers. I could have not have been more wrong!

I really did have low expectations and never thought I'd watch the whole thing or that it'd be something special. This movie was special.

The story was really good and touched me.

The CLIMAX of the movie was excellent. The script during the climax was excellent.

I thought the acting was fine.

Conclusion: this movie's story was very meaningful and it was touching. It's not about what you think it is about. Watch it and find out what the story is all about. I promise you'll like it.

I'll be re-watching this one in the future and I'll recommend it to others.

Do not be alarmed by the tacky poster, or the cliche trailer. This movie is actually very different, unique and good. I am so happy I watched it. There is a flip in the story about 20 minutes in and it tells a relatable, emotional and deepy engaging story in a concise way.
