It is just that kind of film proposing to send its message to a precise public. The story, the cinematography, the characters, the acting to are the clues in that sense. And it is not a problem of sexual option here. It is unfair to define it as a bad film but its proposition is only a fist of emotions. Maybe, it can not be the convincing film who you expect or deserve. But, obvious, it is a beautiful one, maneristic in some measure, cheesy in other, too sentimental or unrealistic or obscure. But, in essence, honest.
Well, there is not a single likeable main character, which isn't required for a movie to be "good" but is necessary when the story is drenched in self-pity and a narcissistic main character.
The entire film has two well done scenes. Bruno with his grandfather, Toto, in the car and Bruno with his wife in the tent.

Here I go again, the only one who thinks this was really quite boring story of a young guy who needs time away from his wife and young son so the director of the film can make overlong shot of him sleeping in the nude in his cot with the sheets strategically placed over his buttocks and this his homosexual awakening with his uncannily unattractive...actually ugly...side-kick who is very clever and street-wise and witty and together. Ugh. I found this movie plodding and cinematically pretentious what with all the longing semi-nude shots as I mentioned. I didn't find a single original, redeeming thing about it. Not very happy as I usually find South American films (e.g. The Blonde One) very satisfying.
At first I thought I'd be switching off because I'd thought the action was too slow. However, Bruno's work and relationship travails brought his life into sharp focus in a neat and compelling story.
Once Bruno and Fernando met, it was inevitable what would happen but we didn't know how. Bruno had more complications in his life what with a wife and son.
The introduction of the grandfather and his advice was a deft move. Good counselling and acceptance.
I loved Fer's challenge to bisexual Bruno, "You have the privilege of making a choice so make it" - we know that Fer didn't. Unlike others, I loved the ambiguous ending. I'd have hated a happy-ever-after finale just as much as a pessimistic one.

The stills are a little misleading, so it may not end the way you think it will.
I have to say that I really enjoyed this one. The acting was really well done, and I'm always surprised just how much better South American lgbtq films are than American.
You will absolutely fall in love with the Fer character, played by Emilio Edwards. I think that's the whole point, but who wouldn't really?!? He's adorable!
It covers a common theme of gay/closeted movies, but it is done tastefully, and doesn't beat you over the head with it.
The locations is gorgeous.
I would definitely check this one out...
